Bajaj has updated the Pulsar 125 comprehensively with the new version having four variants, compared to two on the previous iteration. Similar to the Pulsar 150, the aim is to offer value for money and to wit, Bajaj has packed in a sizable set of features into each variant, but how do they differ from each other? Fret not, let us help.

Bajaj Pulsar 125 variant breakdown
Pulsar 125 Single Seat (LCD)
All four variants share the new single-cradle chassis and the 124.58cc engine making 12.1hp at 8,500rpm and 11.4Nm torque at 6,500 rpm, a marginal bump of 0.3hp and 0.6Nm over the 124.38cc engine on the previous gen. All four variants share the same LED headlight and taillight, tyres, and front and rear suspensions. Bluetooth and turn-by-turn navigation is also common to all of them.
The base Single Seat (LCD) variant, like the name implies, gets a single seat piece and an LCD instrument cluster. It gets a 240mm front disc with a 130mm rear drum brake as well as Combined Braking System (CBS) as standard. It uses bulb indicators and offers a USB type-C port as an optional extra accessory. This variant is priced at Rs 92,900.
Pulsar 125 Single Seat (TFT)
The second variant, once again mentioned in the name, replaces the LCD instrument cluster with a 5-inch TFT display. Other areas in the ride package see upgrades as well. This variant adds three ride modes, an integrated starter generator (ISG), and gets the USB Type-C port as standard fitment. There’s also a larger 260mm front disc and the indicators are LED as well, with hazard lights function. Bajaj has priced this variant at Rs 99,291, Rs 6,391 step up over the base variant.
Pulsar 125 Split Seat (TFT)
The next variant swaps the single seat pad for a split rider and pillion pads for just over a lakh of rupees. It’s otherwise identical to the previous variant.

Don’t let the + mislead you into thinking that this top variant is another small step up. There are three upgrades on this one. Starting with the cluster itself, the TFT display on this one exclusively gets WiFi support, enabling Google Maps mirroring for navigation. It’s also the only one getting a belly pan as standard for added protection to the engine sump and it gets a dual-horn, compared to the single-horn on the rest. For these three features, this variant’s asking price is Rs 1.04 lakh, roughly Rs 4,000 over the last variant.
When Maruti Suzuki introduced its first factory-fitted CNG models in 2010, the fuel had little acceptance among private buyers. Availability was largely restricted to Delhi-NCR, Mumbai-Pune and Gujarat, while the filling network was small and uneven. CNG penetration remained at just 1-2 percent until 2016-17, but Maruti continued to improve the technology and expand its range. It began with affordable cars such as the Alto and Eeco before taking CNG to the WagonR, Swift, Baleno, Dzire and Ertiga. Today, its portfolio includes SUVs such as the Brezza, Fronx, Grand Vitara and Victoris.
Fixing what buyers disliked
In the late 1990s, buyers who wanted a CNG car usually had to convert a petrol model using an aftermarket kit. Most kits were imported, often from Italy or Argentina, and a conversion cost around Rs 30,000-32,000.
As demand grew, some dealers began tying up with local retrofitters. But when these cars developed problems, owners often returned to Maruti workshops even though the company had not supplied or installed the kit. Poorly fitted systems raised concerns about gas leaks and vehicle fires. An aftermarket conversion could also invalidate the manufacturer’s warranty, while the engine and fuel system were not always designed to cope with CNG.
Performance was another weakness. Early conversions resulted in a noticeable drop in power. Some owners would switch to petrol before overtaking or climbing steep roads and returned to CNG once the additional performance was no longer needed.
Factory-fitted systems addressed many of these problems. Engines, valve seats, fuel lines and mounting points were designed to work with CNG. Better calibration reduced the performance loss, while the car retained its manufacturer warranty and could be serviced through Maruti’s dealer network.
The financial case was already strong. Around 2010, CNG cost roughly Rs 20-21 per kg, compared with about Rs 48 per litre for petrol and Rs 38 for diesel. A factory-fitted system added around Rs 45,000-54,000 to the price of the car, but offered better engineering, safety and warranty protection than an aftermarket conversion.
Even so, CNG did not take off immediately. Diesel was widely available, delivered better performance and offered low running costs. In 2013, diesel accounted for around 38 percent of India’s passenger vehicle market, making it the easier choice for many high-mileage users.
The network caught up
India had around 1,200 CNG stations in 2016-17. By March 2026, the network had expanded to about 8,900 stations across roughly 350 cities. This made CNG practical beyond its traditional strongholds. Petrol prices also rose sharply after 2020, crossing Rs 100 per litre in several cities and strengthening the case for switching to a cheaper fuel.
By then, Maruti had already addressed many of the product-related concerns and could respond with a broad factory-fitted portfolio. CNG’s share of Maruti’s new registrations, including private cars and cabs, increased from 14.3 percent in 2021 to 41.2 percent in the first half of 2026. Petrol’s share fell from 76.5 percent to 45.9 percent over the same period. The sharpest jump came between 2023 and 2024, when CNG’s share rose from 24.6 percent to 32 percent.
Commercial vehicles remain important. Cabs account for around 10 percent of Maruti’s cumulative registrations, but contribute more than a quarter of its CNG volumes. However, private buyers now account for the larger part of demand.
“Earlier, if a customer was opting for CNG, the perception was that he was just a very value-conscious customer,” says Maruti Suzuki’s senior executive officer, sales and marketing, Partho Banerjee. “Now, especially with underbody CNG, the profile of customers has changed. They are not only looking for mileage, they also want an aspirational product that feels no different to drive from gasoline.”
CNG moves beyond small cars
The WagonR remains the quintessential CNG hatchback. Its CNG share has risen from 42.5 percent in 2021 to 49.1 percent in the first half of 2026. Nearly every second WagonR buyer now chooses it. CNG is also gaining ground in models that were once overwhelmingly petrol-powered. Its share in the Swift has increased from 1.9 percent to 18 percent, while the Baleno has moved from 2.1 percent to 14.5 percent.
The Dzire has seen an even sharper change. CNG accounted for just 1.7 percent of its registrations in 2021. Its share reached 33.6 percent in H1 2026.
Adoption is strongest in vehicles that cover longer distances or carry more passengers. CNG’s share of the Ertiga has risen from 39.3 percent to 73.6 percent, while the Eeco has moved from 31 percent to 55.2 percent. Big shifts are now also taking place in the SUV segment, where buyers care as much about design, features and luggage space as they do about mileage.
CNG accounts for 43.4 percent of Brezza registrations, compared with 23.7 percent for its Smart Hybrid powertrain in H1 2026. The Fronx has seen its CNG share rise from 10.9 percent at launch in 2023 to 35.4 percent in the first half of 2026. In the case of the Grand Vitara, it has increased from zero to 23.9 percent.
The Victoris has moved even faster. CNG accounted for 55.2 percent of its registrations in the first half of 2026. Its strong response shows that midsize SUV buyers will accept the fuel when it does not compromise the overall ownership experience.
Better packaging removes a key compromise
A large cylinder placed across the luggage compartment has long been one of CNG’s biggest drawbacks. Dual-cylinder systems that divide the gas storage between two smaller cylinders positioned lower in the boot, or placing an underbody tank, create a flatter and more usable luggage area.
Maruti’s latest CNG development is the underbody tank on the Victoris and Brezza.
Central to Maruti’s next CNG push is the underbody CNG setup. The newly launched CNG Brezza opts for this setup – just like in the Victoris – where the tank is placed beneath the floor. It does negate the ability to have the spare tyre, but luggage space remains useable with a boot that is pretty much free of intrusions.
“If I don’t compromise on my driving experience, and I don’t lose boot space, and on top of that I reduce my total cost of ownership, then it is ticking all the boxes. Why would I not go for it?” says Banerjee.
Filling the gap left by diesel
Maruti’s exit from diesel in 2020 left a gap for buyers seeking low running costs without moving to an EV. CNG has become the answer. It cannot match a diesel engine’s torque or effortless highway performance, but it can cost substantially less to run than petrol, particularly for buyers covering high monthly distances. The vehicle can also switch to petrol when CNG is unavailable.
CNG will not replace diesel in every situation. Drivers who regularly travel on highways, carry heavy loads or value strong mid-range performance may still prefer diesel where it remains available. But for largely urban use, CNG now delivers much of the economic advantage that once made diesel attractive. The market has moved beyond mileage.
CNG has reached around 20 percent penetration without requiring buyers to completely change the way they use a car. There is no home charger to install, and the vehicle can run on petrol when the gas runs out. But the next stage will require more than savings. Buyers moving onto larger and more expensive vehicles will expect performance, equipment, luggage space and convenience alongside lower running costs.
“Quality, reliability and mileage are now hygiene,” says Banerjee. “You need to give all of that anyway and then still meet their lifestyle expectations.”
With the Victoris establishing CNG in the midsize SUV market and the Brezza addressing the compact SUV space, Maruti is now taking the fuel deeper into India’s largest vehicle segment, and it says there’s more to come.
After months of anticipation on the buyers’ part and teasing on Yamaha’s part, the R2 was finally launched on August 27. The brand-new supersport, meant as a step up to the famed R15, does not mean to replace it. Yamaha has packed quite a lot into their first 200cc category entry with the R2 getting three variants with varying levels of features. Here’s a breakdown of what each variant has to offer, so you can decide on which one makes the most sense for you.

Base
Just to set context, all three variants get the new 204cc liquid-cooled engine with 26.5hp at 10,000rpm and 19.1Nm of torque at 8,000rpm. They also share most of the features, including the 5-inch TFT instrument cluster, traction control, an assist and slipper clutch, three riding modes, 37 mm USD front fork and a rear linkage monoshock, and dual-channel ABS.
Each variant gets its own colour choices with no overlap. The base variant gets two colours, Metallic Black and Dark Bluish Gray, and all black wheels with a matt-finish seat for Rs 2.30 lakh. If you intend to take the R2 to the racetrack though, consider the next variant.
Base (with quickshifter)
As the name suggests, the next variant gives you a bi-directional quickshifter as standard. Although the R15 technically gets a quickshifter, it is for up-shifts only whereas the one on the R2 can handle both up and down shifts (hence the name!). It’s certainly useful at a racetrack’s time sensitive environment and fun elsewhere.
Cosmetically, this variant gets body coloured alloy wheels and model specific graphics (read slightly different decals). This variant is currently offered in Matte White Pearl and Racing Blue colours and is priced at Rs 2.39 lakh, Rs 9,500 over the base variant.
M
The absolute minnacle, sorry, pinnacle of the R2 is the M. The main mechanical difference over the previous variant is that the M has adjustable preload for its front fork and the rear linkage monoshock, meaning you can adjust the springs to simulate a certain amount of default weight, named aptly.
Besides the adjustability, the R2 M also gets additional aesthetic touches like a premium 3D embossed emblem, a faux suede-finished seat, a silver-finished swingarm, and a shot-blasted muffler end cap. A few convenient features that’s only afforded to the M variant are adjustable brake and clutch levers and a keyless system. The R2 M is available in a single Metallic Grey colour for Rs 2.53 lakh, Rs 14,000 extra over the middle variant.
Jawa has launched the 42 FJ All Stars, a new range of its neo-classic roadster, with prices starting at Rs 2.02 lakh and going up to Rs 2.16 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi).

The 42 FJ All Stars retains the 334cc, liquid-cooled, DOHC single-cylinder engine, which produces 29.17hp at 7,500rpm and 29.62Nm at 5,500rpm. The engine is paired with a six-speed gearbox.
The motorcycle continues with the 42 FJ’s distinctive brushed aluminium tank panels, along with a double-cradle frame, 41mm telescopic front fork and gas-charged twin rear shocks with five-step preload adjustment.
Yamaha has just launched the YZF-R2, making their supersport line-up become plural once again. Although they sound closer to each other, the established YZF-R15 and its new big brother are further apart than you might think. From the get go, the Yamaha pulls ahead by making 1.5hp more power than the KTM with a 0.1Nm less torque; both bikes deliver peak power and torque at the exact same range in the revs. However, the R2’s biggest advantage is in its 149kg kerb weight, made evident in its noticeably higher power-to-weight ratio. More on that in the next section.

As we said, Yamaha’s biggest advantage comes with its 149kg, a whopping 11kg less than the KTM. That gap only increases with other dimensions, well, except for the fuel tank capacity. The R2 has a smaller fuel tank, but the KTM’s 1.7-litre larger fuel tank only justifies about 1.25kg of its added heft. In return, the R2 gives you more usable seat height and ground clearance.

In the handling package, the KTM pulls its trump cards. It gets bigger tyres, brakes, as well as a larger front fork. Both brands use the tried and tested radially mounted caliper at the front, with a floating caliper handling the rear stopping duties. The R2 does offer preload adjustability on both ends on the top M variant. On the RC, that’s only available at the rear.

Yamaha offers a host of extra features
Being the newer motorcycle, it’s not a surprise that the R2 has more features but Yamaha, almost uncharacteristically, have pulled out all the stops on this front. Do note that to get the full suite, you’d have to spring for the R2 M which is currently Rs 21,000 more expensive than the RC 200. If you do, you get three ride modes (Rain, Street, Sport), a 5-inch TFT instrument cluster, assist and slipper clutch, traction control, a bi-directional quickshifter, keyless system, adjustable footpegs, and adjustable levers. The first four are standard on all three variants, with the middle variant offering the quick shifter, and the M giving you the rest. There are other cosmetic differences between the three variants as well.
On the other side, the KTM gives you a 5-inch TFT cluster, the ability to turn off rear ABS, and… that’s it. To get even close to the R2’s feature set, you’d have to look at the bigger KTM Supersport, the RC 390. Both motorcycles have the ability to connect your smartphone to unlock functionalities like call alerts, music control, and turn-by-turn navigation.

Yamaha has priced the R2’s base variant lower than the RC 200’s one and only variant. Even then, the R2 is ahead in terms of the features and the overall value. The KTM’s case only gets weaker from there. It’s worth mentioning here that the KTM RC series have not been updated to the third generation yet, which is perhaps why the feature set hasn’t caught up. Last we checked, the next major refresh for the RC series is at least a year away.
Muskan Murder Case: दिल्ली के पश्चिमी इलाके तिलक नगर में बुधवार शाम एक 21 साल की छात्रा और मॉडल मुस्कान की कथित तौर पर चाकू मारकर हत्या कर दी गई। TOI की रिपोर्ट के मुताबिक, पुलिस को शक है कि इस वारदात में उसके पूर्व जिम ट्रेनर इमरान का हाथ हो सकता है।
बताया जा रहा है कि घटना के समय मुस्कान घर में अकेली थी। आरोप है कि इमरान घर में घुसा और उस पर चाकू से कई बार हमला किया। इसके बाद वह मौके से फरार हो गया। वहीं, मुस्कान की चीखें सुनकर पड़ोसी उसके घर पहुंचे, जहां वह गंभीर हालत में खून से लथपथ पड़ी मिली।
पड़ोसी उसे तुरंत अस्पताल ले गए, लेकिन डॉक्टरों ने उसे मृत घोषित कर दिया। पुलिस को घटना के बारे में PCR कॉल मिली और आरोपी की तलाश शुरू कर दी है।
ADCP ने दी जानकारी
एडिशनल डिप्टी कमिश्नर ऑफ पुलिस अभिषेक गुप्ता ने पत्रकारों को बताया, “हम दोषी की तलाश कर रहे हैं और आस-पास के इलाके के CCTV फुटेज की जांच की जा रही है।”
वहीं, पुलिस के एक सीनियर अधिकारी ने कहा, “लगभग 21 साल की एक महिला की उसके घर पर अकेले होने के दौरान चाकू मारकर हत्या कर दी गई। CCTV फुटेज की जांच की जा रही है और पुलिस मामले की छानबीन कर रही है।”
TOI की रिपोर्ट के मुताबिक, पुलिस ने इमरान का पता लगाने के लिए कई टीमें बनाई हैं और सुराग पाने के लिए मुस्कान के फोन की भी जांच कर रही है।
जांचकर्ताओं ने उस जिम में छापेमारी की है जहां इमरान काम करता था और उसके घर पर भी तलाशी ली है, साथ ही उसके परिवार वालों और दोस्तों से भी पूछताछ की है।
कौन है संदिग्ध?
रिपोर्ट के मुताबिक, पुलिस ने बताया कि मुस्कान और इमरान एक-दूसरे को करीब डेढ़ साल से जानते थे। कुछ रिश्तेदारों और पड़ोसियों ने जांच करने वालों को बताया कि इमरान अक्सर उस इलाके में देखा जाता था और कथित तौर पर मुस्कान का पीछा करता था। माना जाता है कि मुस्कान ने उसे ठुकरा दिया था।
TOI के अनुसार, मुस्कान के दोस्त अमन ने बताया कि वह तीन बहनों में सबसे छोटी थी। उसकी एक बड़ी बहन, जो अभी चंडीगढ़ में है, ने हमले के बारे में पता चलने पर कथित तौर पर उसे फोन किया और मुस्कान के घर तुरंत पहुंचने को कहा।
अमन ने कहा, “मुझे एक फोन आया था, लेकिन मुझे ठीक-ठीक समय याद नहीं है। उन्होंने मुझे बताया कि वे घर पर नहीं थे और कोई घर में घुसकर मुस्कान को चाकू मार गया।”
उन्होंने बताया कि उन्होंने तुरंत एक और दोस्त से संपर्क किया और उससे घर पहुंचकर मुस्कान को मेडिकल मदद दिलाने को कहा। जब तक वह वहां पहुंचा, तब तक एम्बुलेंस मौके पर पहुँच चुकी थी और उसे अस्पताल ले जा चुकी थी।
अमन ने यह भी आरोप लगाया कि मुस्कान की बहनों ने पहले ही इमरान द्वारा उसे परेशान किए जाने को लेकर चिंता जताई थी। अमन ने कहा, “उसने पहले भी उसे परेशान किया था, और इस घटना के बाद तुरंत उसी पर शक गया।”
पुलिस की नजर में जिम
जिस जिम में इमरान काम करता था, वह भी पुलिस की जांच के दायरे में आ गया। ‘सेवन ज़ोन फिटनेस डेस्टिनेशन’ की रिसेप्शनिस्ट डिंपल ने बताया कि इमरान को उसके बर्ताव को लेकर हुई शिकायतों के बाद करीब एक-दो महीने पहले नौकरी से निकाल दिया गया था।
डिंपल ने कहा, “उसके बात करने का तरीका ठीक नहीं था, और इसी वजह से उसे नौकरी से निकाल दिया गया। उसे नौकरी छोड़े हुए 1-2 महीने हो चुके हैं। यहां उनके बीच कुछ भी नहीं था। हां, उसने एक-दो बार उससे बात करने की कोशिश की थी, लेकिन उसे ऐसा न करने के लिए कहा गया और फिर सब ठीक हो गया।”
फिलहाल, पुलिस इस बात की जांच कर रही है कि क्या मुस्कान और इमरान के बीच कथित उत्पीड़न और पहले हुई बातचीत का संबंध बुधवार को हुए हमले से है।
इलाके में फैला तनाव
इस हत्या के कारण इलाके में तनाव भी फैल गया है क्योंकि मुस्कान और आरोपी अलग-अलग धर्मों से हैं। किसी भी अप्रिय घटना को रोकने के लिए भारी पुलिस बल तैनात किया गया है।
TOI की रिपोर्ट के मुताबिक, मुस्कान के शव को मुर्दाघर में रखा गया है और गुरुवार सुबह उसका पोस्टमार्टम किया जाएगा। पुलिस अपनी जांच जारी रखे हुए है और इमरान को गिरफ्तार करने की कोशिशें चल रही हैं।
The Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas has launched a massive quality-control campaign across India’s retail fuel network and, as of August 25, 2026, stopped petrol sales at 2,573 non-compliant outlets, according to highly placed ministry sources. Indian Oil Corporation (IOCL) leads with 1,257 halted pumps, followed by Hindustan Petroleum (HPCL) at 915 and Bharat Petroleum (BPCL) at 401.
The trigger was a letter from the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM) to the ministry on July 28, leaked soon after, flagging alarmingly high levels of chloride contamination in E20 fuel samples tested across the country. SIAM withdrew the letter within days, saying the figures “needed further verification”, but the damage was done. A subsequent Reuters investigation into carmakers’ internal testing data kept the contamination question firmly in the public eye and has forced the government to react.
To restore consumer confidence and tackle contaminants and water in the supply chain, the government has mandated water-ingress testing of underground tanks 8 to 12 times a day, a rigorous regime already underway at 88,995 dealerships. A sweeping audit prioritising older retail outlets has covered 84,687 fuel stations; field teams are checking tank integrity during rainfall, and automation systems with monitoring probes are active at 85,649 outlets, with malfunctioning units being repaired on priority.
Oil-marketing companies (OMCs) have conducted 7,296 sulphur tests and 1,079 chloride tests on ethanol-carrying tankers, along with 151 chloride tests on their own storage tanks.
The intensity of the crackdown reflects a government under pressure to protect the integrity of its green-energy transition. The rollout of E20 (petrol blended with 20 percent ethanol) was accelerated ahead of its original schedule. Since April 1, E20 has been the only petrol available at Indian pumps, leaving motorists with no option of buying the earlier E10 blend.
Automakers’ extensive fuel-testing drive
The move to ensure that the prescribed standards are met at the forecourts is a direct response to growing opposition from motorists and anxiety among the country’s leading vehicle manufacturers.
For motorists, the transition to E20 has brought tangible financial losses arising from lower fuel efficiency and potential mechanical risks. In a widely publicised dispute, a consumer court in Raipur recently directed Maruti Suzuki to replace a Grand Vitara over an E20-related engine complaint, underlining the legal and warranty vulnerabilities facing carmakers. Concerns over mileage loss, accelerated component wear and the compatibility of pre-2023 vehicles have simmered for months.
Behind closed doors, the anxiety ran deeper. While brands like Toyota, Maruti Suzuki and Hero MotoCorp publicly backed the government’s green mandate, a Reuters review of leaked internal communications revealed that Maruti Suzuki, Tata Motors and Mahindra & Mahindra had privately flagged severe contamination in E20 petrol. Over the course of a year, the three carmakers quietly conducted the most extensive fuel-testing drive since the national rollout, collecting and analysing over 250 samples from petrol pumps across 21 states and Union territories.
Leaked report rings alarm bells
The industry findings, compiled by SIAM and reviewed by Reuters, painted a starkly different picture from official compliance narratives. Against the government’s permissible chloride limit of 3 parts per million (ppm) or 3mg/kg, automaker testing found alarming levels across 18 states: Rajasthan recorded 6 to 570ppm — 190 times the limit; Delhi-NCR ranged from 1.4 to 420ppm and Madhya Pradesh from 4.1 to 550ppm. Karnataka and Kerala, by contrast, stayed well within the safe zone at 1 to 2.2ppm.
Water content spiked to 13,000ppm in Andhra Pradesh and 12,500ppm in Uttar Pradesh, which is more than four times the official permissible limit of 3,000ppm.
In modern engines, these deviations can be damaging. Organic chloride is highly corrosive, and modern precision fuel injectors are engineered to tolerate just 1-3ppm to align with international standards. In a leaked July email, a senior Mahindra executive warned that organic chloride was the root cause of rapid vehicle failures, capable of destroying fuel systems and engines in as little as 200km. Mahindra has since described interpretations drawn from the email as baseless, calling the industry data limited and preliminary.
Skoda Auto India brand director Ashish Gupta, in a recent interaction with Autocar Professional, acknowledged a genuine issue with EPC (Electronic Power Control) and fuel pump failures in certain parts of the country, particularly in Punjab. He added that while fuel-sample testing has not shown a definitive chemical difference, engineers suspect high chloride or high sulphur levels, which can clog the fuel-pump filters.
The regulatory gap
To be fair, BIS standards currently lack a formally mandated statutory threshold for inorganic chlorides in finished ethanol-blended petrol (like E20). However, the petroleum ministry and OMCs enforce internal procurement guidelines, capping the limit at 3ppm for ethanol manufacturers. Setting BIS standards that make chloride limits mandatory is urgently needed, as the main culprit for vehicle damage is not E20 petrol but the chloride levels in it.

The R2 gets an all-new platform with a brand-new 204cc engine. It continues to be a single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine as seen on the R15 but makes 26.5hp at 10,000rpm and 19.3Nm at 8,000rpm. However, it comes with a DOHC setup as opposed to SOHC on the R15, and it misses out on Variable Valve Actuation (VVA) that the 155cc engine is known for. The valves on the R2 are coated with DLC (diamond-like carbon), also seen on the erstwhile flagship YZF-R1. Yamaha reports a seat height of 810mm and a kerb weight of 149kg, making the R2 the lightest of its segment. In addition to the significant weight advantage, the R2 also makes slightly more power and similar torque to its rivals, KTM RC 200 and Hero Karizma XMR.

Three variants in a Rs 23,000 range
Yamaha is looking to further sweeten the deal with features like ride-by-wire throttle which enables three ride modes, assist and slipper clutch, 37mm USD forks, and dual-channel ABS as standard. It continues to have features like a 5-inch TFT dash and Traction control, all seen on the R15 M. The second variant steps it up by offering a segment-first bi-directional quickshifter and body coloured alloy wheels. The range topping R2 M variant adds preload adjustable front and rear suspension, adjustable brake and clutch levers, faux-suede seat, and a smart keyless system. All three variants get their own distinct colours.
Yamaha has announced that the YZF-R2 will be exclusively available through their Blue Square network. The R2 starts at Rs 2.30 lakh for the base variant and Rs 2.53 lakh for the top of the line M variant; both prices are ex-showroom, Delhi. Pre-bookings are already open, with deliveries starting mid-September.
The all-new Bajaj Pulsar 150 arrives on a completely new platform with a revised engine, a new single-cradle frame, monoshock rear suspension and a host of new features. All three variants get the same 149.5cc, single-cylinder engine that produces peak output figures of 14hp at 8,000rpm and 14.1Nm of torque at 6,500rpm.
The base SD Single Seat variant gets a 5-inch colour LCD display with Bluetooth and turn-by-turn navigation. Braking comes from a 260mm front disc and a 130mm rear drum, and it’s the only variant of the three to miss out on ISG, a belly pan and hazard lights. It does, however, get the same ride modes and crawl mode as the other two. It’s priced at Rs 1.15 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
Pulsar 150 TD Single Seat
Stepping up to the TD Single Seat swaps in a 5-inch TFT display with Bluetooth, along with an Integrated Starter Generator (ISG) that enables a stop-start system and silent restarts. It also gains a 230mm rear disc brake in place of the drum, a belly pan and hazard lights. It’s priced at Rs 1.22 lakh.
Pulsar 150 TD Split Seat
The range-topping TD Split Seat carries over the TD Single Seat’s ISG, disc brakes, belly pan and hazard lights, but steps up to a 5-inch TFT display with Wi-Fi support that enables Google Maps mirroring – also seen on the Pulsar N160 SS. It’s the only variant of the three with a split-seat design and is priced at Rs 1.23 lakh.

तालकटोरा स्टेडियम में भव्य कार्यक्रम, 2500 महिलाओं को मिलेगी किस्त
इस योजना की पहली किस्त जारी करने के लिए दिल्ली सरकार द्वारा तालकटोरा स्टेडियम में एक भव्य कार्यक्रम का आयोजन किया जा रहा है। यह कार्यक्रम 26 अगस्त की सुबह 11 बजे शुरू होगा। इस विशेष समारोह में लगभग 2500 महिलाओं को सांकेतिक रूप से पहली किस्त दी जाएगी। आपको बता दें कि दिल्ली लक्ष्मी योजना 1 अगस्त से प्रभावी हुई थी और अब तक इस योजना के तहत 6 लाख से अधिक महिलाओं ने अपना पंजीकरण कराया है।
2500 रुपये का पूरा गणित: बैंक खाते और एफडी/आरडी का नियम
दिल्ली लक्ष्मी योजना के तहत पात्र महिलाओं को हर महीने 2500 रुपये की वित्तीय सहायता प्रदान की जानी है। ये मदद 1 सितंबर से लाभार्थियों के बैंक खातों में जमा होना शुरू हो जाएगी। हालांकि इस 2500 रुपये की राशि को पूरा का पूरा अकाउंट में नहीं भेजा जाएगा। बाय डिफॉल्ट 2500 रुपये में से 1500 रुपये लाभार्थी महिला के RD या फिक्स्ड डिपॉजिट (खाते में जमा किए जाएंगे। बाकी 1000 रुपये लाभार्थी के उस बैंक खाते में ट्रांसफर किए जाएंगे जो सेंट्रल बैंक डिजिटल करेंसी वॉलेट से जुड़ा होगा। आरडी या एफडी में जमा की गई राशि पर 31 जुलाई 2029 तक लॉक-इन पीरियड लागू रहेगा।
अगर कोई लाभार्थी महिला चाहे तो वह पूरी 2500 रुपये की राशि को भी एफडी या आरडी में जमा करने का विकल्प चुन सकती है, जिस पर भी समान समय तक लॉक-इन पीरियड लागू रहेगा।

क्या अभी भी किया जा सकता है आवेदन?
जो महिलाएं अभी तक इस योजना में आवेदन नहीं कर सकी हैं, वे पोर्टल पर जाकर कभी भी आवेदन कर सकती हैं। दिल्ली लक्ष्मी योजना के लिए आवेदन प्रक्रिया पूरे साल खुली रहेगी। इसके लिए महिलाएं dly.delhi.gov.in/Account/Login पर जाकर आवेदन कर सकती हैं। हर महीने की अंतिम तारीख को उस महीने मिलने वाले आवेदनों के लिए कट-ऑफ तारीख माना जाएगा। इसके बाद स्वीकृत होने वाले पात्र आवेदनों को अगले महीने से योजना का लाभ दिया जाएगा।
कौन कर सकता है आवेदन? पात्रता और शर्तें
दिल्ली लक्ष्मी योजना का लाभ उठाने के लिए सरकार ने कुछ जरूरी पात्रता मापदंड तय किए हैं-
आवेदन जमा करने की तिथि पर महिला की आयु 21 से 60 वर्ष के बीच होनी चाहिए और वह अपने परिवार की सबसे बड़ी महिला सदस्य होनी चाहिए।
परिवार की वार्षिक आय 2.5 लाख रुपये से अधिक नहीं होनी चाहिए।
महिला दिल्ली की पंजीकृत मतदाता होनी चाहिए। इसके अलावा आवेदक, उसके पति या उसके माता-पिता में से कोई भी आवेदन की तिथि पर कम से कम 10 वर्षों से दिल्ली का निवासी होना चाहिए।
पिछले 12 महीनों के दौरान परिवार की बिजली की खपत 2400 यूनिट से अधिक नहीं होनी चाहिए।
कौन नहीं होगा पात्र?
सरकारी पेंशन या नियमित वित्तीय सहायता प्राप्त करने वाली महिलाएं इस योजना के लिए पात्र नहीं हैं।
आयकरदाता, जीएसटी भरने वाले, सरकारी कर्मचारी और जन प्रतिनिधि इस योजना से बाहर रखे गए हैं।
अगर आवेदक या उसके परिवार का कोई सदस्य चार पहिया वाहन का मालिक है या सरकार, सार्वजनिक क्षेत्र के उपक्रम, बोर्ड या स्थानीय निकाय में काम करता है तो लाभ नहीं मिलेगा।
जिन आवेदकों के 3 से अधिक बच्चे हैं या जिनका आपराधिक रिकॉर्ड है, वे भी इस योजना की शर्तों के तहत अपात्र हैं।
