India’s Union Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas, Hardeep Singh Puri, during a recent media interaction, said that a public rollout of E25 petrol is still some time away. The minister stated that E25 (25 percent ethanol blended petrol) is still undergoing tests at the moment and “any suggestions that we are bringing E25 now is misrepresentation.”

Speaking about E25 petrol, Puri said that the fuel is not ready for the market yet as Centre is still “conducting tests, which will take time.” The Union Minister went on to say that any progress on the matter will be based on the results from these tests, which will be followed by an evaluation phase. Once that is done, “we will then talk to the stakeholders and automobile manufacturers,” said Puri. However, the minister did not specify any timeline for this process.
Puri also spoke about the recently introduced E85 petrol. The minister stated that it will take a bit of time for E85 to be made publically available in more parts of the country, as new petrol pumps will have to be commissioned first. Touching upon the ongoing discussions surrounding E20 petrol, Puri said, “There is no controversy. There are 20 crore two-wheelers and 20 lakh four-wheelers on the road that are using E20. There are the automobile manufacturers and vehicle service centres, all have said that there are no difficulties.”

The study is based on actual transactional data shared by Spinny for vehicles sold between January 1 and August 31, 2025.
In this part of the resale value study series, we take a look at the executive SUV segment:
Executive SUVs resale value
The Mahindra XUV700 has emerged as one of the strongest performers in the used car market, with all variants retaining value impressively well. Particularly noteworthy are the petrol variants, which display the flattest depreciation curves over a four-year period. In fact, one-year-old used examples are trading at only 15-16 percent below their average on-road prices, underlining the SUV’s exceptionally strong market demand.
By comparison, five-year-old examples of the Tata Harrier and MG Hector depreciate significantly more, with resale values falling to less than half of their original purchase prices. The Mahindra Scorpio N also holds better value than its rivals, and overall, the Mahindra SUVs display slower depreciation than their Tata counterparts.
As per the study, the average selling price of a five-year-old executive SUV retailed through Spinny was Rs 12.6 lakh. Comparable figures for three-year-old and one-year-old executive SUVs were Rs 16.80 lakh and Rs 18.84 lakh, respectively. Average depreciation over the same periods worked out to 50 percent, 36.41 percent and 22.90 percent, respectively.
Autocar-Spinny resale value study methodology
The analysis covers the average selling prices (ASPs) of vehicles retailed through Spinny’s network across nine cities – Delhi-NCR, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Pune, Chennai, Mumbai, Lucknow, Ahmedabad and Kolkata.
For the purposes of this study, depreciation has been defined as the percentage difference between a vehicle’s original on-road price in its year of manufacture and its resale value in 2025. In instances where a model was offered with multiple engine options using the same fuel type, the data has been consolidated and averaged. Variant-wise differences have similarly been averaged out.
Discontinued models and powertrain options have been excluded. Additionally, premium vehicles priced above Rs 30 lakh, electric vehicles and certain low-volume models have not been included due to limited transaction data and insufficient sample sizes.
Accessibility is a key element when stepping up to a larger capacity motorcycle and it’s not just pricing we’re talking about. Being able to plant both feet or even one foot securely on the ground is a factor that gives people peace of mind when we’re talking about bikes with powerful engines displacing over 1000cc.
Do bear in mind that we have only included models priced between Rs 10 lakh – Rs 20 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) from reputed and established brands with a fairly decent reach across the country.
Honda CB1000 Hornet SP (Rs 13.29 lakh)

Honda’s CB1000 Hornet SP packs in a Fireblade-sourced 1000cc, four-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine making 157hp and 107Nm of torque, bringing serious performance to the table. It is also festooned with top-drawer equipment from Brembo and Ohlins, but despite that, its price tag is quite a lot more digestible than its more sophisticated European peers. Another way it is quite rider-friendly is that it has a pretty accessible 809mm perch, making this Japanese supernaked easy to manage for shorter folks.
The best way to describe Triumph’s Speed Twin 1200 is that it is a wolf in sheep’s clothing. It may have suave and a neo-retro design, but its punchy 1,200cc, liquid-cooled, twin-cylinder engine makes 105hp and 112Nm of torque, giving it seriously quick performance. It even comes in an up-spec RS variant with blingy paint and up-spec Brembo brakes and Marzocchi suspension. With a rather approachable 805mm perch, it is also a welcoming machine for shorter riders.
Suzuki Hayabusa (Rs 18.06 lakh)

Easily the fastest machine on this list, the venerable SuzukiHayabusa might have a frightfully powerful engine, but it also has an accessible 800mm perch. Not only is it quite easy to plant your feet down on the ground, its peak output of 190hp and 150Nm of torque makes it even easier to cover ground at a seriously quick pace.
The CB750 Hornet and Scrambler are the entry point into the big bike range from Honda and Ducati, respectively. The Scrambler is powered by an air/oil-cooled, 803cc V-twin motor making 73hp and 65.2Nm of torque and is the friendliest Ducati someone can buy. Not only are its output figures approachable, but its 795mm perch (shared across its multiple variants) also helps that cause.
Meanwhile, the Hornet is powered by a liquid-cooled, 755cc twin-cylinder motor making 92hp and 67Nm of torque and it also comes with Honda’s E-Clutch technology, which eliminates the need for the rider to physically use the clutch lever when shifting gears and coming to a stop. This, along with its low seat height, make the middleweight Hornet more welcoming for a larger audience.
Triumph’s entire neo-retro Bonneville lineup is featured on this list, and of that, the Scrambler 900, T100 and T120 ‘Bonnies’ all have a very approachable 790mm perch.
The Scrambler and T100 are both powered by Triumph’s 900cc twin-cyl, liquid-cooled motor making 64hp and 80Nm of torque, albeit the engine is in a different state of tune on each bike. This engine is mated to a 5-speed gearbox, which is quite unusual in this day and age. One thing to bear in mind on the Scrambler is that while it does have a friendly seat height, its side-mounted exhaust pipes will get very hot in Indian weather conditions.
Meanwhile, the T120 is powered by the larger 1200cc twin-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine making 80hp and 105Nm of torque. While the T120 weighs a substantial 233kg, its low 790mm seat height should inspire confidence when muscling it around the parking lot and while wading through slow-moving traffic.
Harley-Davidson Sportster S (Rs 18.05 lakh)

Because of their low-slung form factor, cruisers are inherently the type of motorcycle with the lowest seat height, making them the de facto choice for those who want as low a seat as possible. Harley’s Sportster S bears the hallowed name, and also has a friendly seat, but thanks to its 1,252cc liquid-cooled V-Twin pushing out 121hp and 125Nm of torque, it’s not a lumbering and slow archetypical cruiser.
Harley-DavidsonNightster Special (Rs 15.38 lakh)

Another model from Harley-Davidson’s sporty cruiser range that’s on this list is the Nightster Special. It is powered by a 975cc liquid-cooled V-twin motor making 89hp and 95Nm of torque and has more conventional cruiser styling. Another factor working in its favour is its super-low 715mm seat height, which will ensure that most riders will be able to put at least one foot flat on the ground.
Both the Bonneville Speedmaster and Harley-Davidson Nightster have identical 705mm seat heights, which is a very low number by any stretch of the imagination.
While both are cruisers, the Speedmaster has bright pastel colours and is draped in chrome, whereas the Nightster is a blacked-out, stripped-back machine which doesn’t even have pillion accommodations as standard. Powering the Speedmaster is Triumph’s tried-and-true 1,200cc parallel-twin, whereas the Nightster is propelled by Harley’s ‘small’ 975cc Revolution Max motor.
Triumph Bonneville Bobber (Rs 13.52 lakh)

If you want the lowest perch on a bike under the Rs 20 lakh mark in India, the Bonneville Bobber should be on your radar. Bear in mind that the Bobber doesn’t come with passenger accommodations, nor can you fit any to it– this is a strictly solo ride. Its fundamentals are similar to those of the Speedmaster, which means you get fat balloon tyres on 16-inch rims and Triumph’s torquey and smooth 1,200cc liquid-cooled engine making 78hp and 106Nm of torque.

वीडियो शेयर करते हुए न्यूज एजेंसी ANI ने लिखा, “भिवंडी में जलभराव के बीच स्थानीय निवासी शादाब स्पाइडर-मैन की ड्रेस पहनकर ट्रैफिक को सुचारु रूप से चलाने में लोगों की मदद कर रहे हैं।” वीडियो में शादाब पानी से भरी सड़क के बीच खड़े होकर वाहनों को रास्ता दिखाते, ट्रैफिक संभालते और लोगों को सुरक्षित निकलने में मदद करते नजर आते हैं। साथ ही वह सड़क पर जमा पानी हटाकर यातायात को आसान बनाने की कोशिश भी करते दिखाई दे रहे हैं।
गाड़ियों को रास्ता दिखाने के साथ-साथ शादाब लोगों से बातचीत करते और राहगीरों से हाथ मिलाते भी नजर आए। उनकी इस पहल की वहां मौजूद कई लोगों ने सराहना की और उनके काम की जमकर तारीफ की है।

रियल एस्टेट कंपनी Phoenix Mills ने वित्त वर्ष 2026-27 की पहली तिमाही में मजबूत ऑपरेशनल प्रदर्शन दर्ज किया। कंपनी के मौजूदा मॉल पोर्टफोलियो में रिटेल कंजम्प्शन सालाना आधार पर 32% बढ़कर 4,727 करोड़ रुपये पहुंच गया। बेहतर ग्राहक मांग, प्रीमियम स्टोर्स और टेनेंट मिक्स में सुधार से कंपनी की ज्यादातर प्रॉपर्टीज में डबल डिजिट ग्रोथ दर्ज हुई।
SBI
सरकारी बैंक State Bank of India (SBI) ने अपनी FCNR(B) डिपॉजिट स्कीम के जरिए सिर्फ एक महीने में 1.5 अरब डॉलर (करीब 12,500 करोड़ रुपये) जुटा लिए हैं। बैंक NRI ग्राहकों को 5.25% से 6% तक ब्याज दे रहा है। साथ ही जमा राशि के आधार पर 9 गुना तक लोन की सुविधा भी दे रहा है।
Axis Bank
प्राइवेट बैंक Axis Bank के नॉन-एग्जीक्यूटिव चेयरमैन एन. एस. विश्वनाथन की दोबारा नियुक्ति को RBI ने मंजूरी दे दी है। उनका नया कार्यकाल 27 अक्टूबर 2026 से 26 अक्टूबर 2029 तक रहेगा। अब इस प्रस्ताव पर 31 जुलाई की AGM में शेयरधारकों की मंजूरी ली जाएगी।
Canara Bank
सरकारी बैंक Canara Bank के डिजिटल बैंकिंग विंग के चीफ जनरल मैनेजर महेश एम. पाई ने इस्तीफा दे दिया है। उन्होंने बैंकिंग सेक्टर में बेहतर अवसर मिलने का हवाला दिया है। उनका इस्तीफा सक्षम प्राधिकारी की मंजूरी के बाद प्रभावी होगा।
SML Isuzu
कमर्शियल व्हीकल कंपनी SML Isuzu की जून बिक्री सालाना आधार पर 5% बढ़कर 1,896 यूनिट रही। कंपनी का प्रोडक्शन भी बढ़ा है। हालांकि, एक्सपोर्ट 64 यूनिट से घटकर 34 यूनिट रह गया।
Graphite India
ग्रेफाइट उत्पाद बनाने वाली कंपनी Graphite India ने जर्मनी में अपना कारोबार बंद करने का फैसला किया है। कंपनी ने रूस-यूक्रेन युद्ध से बने मुश्किल हालात का हवाला दिया है। जर्मनी का यह कारोबार करीब 105 करोड़ रुपये के सालाना टर्नओवर का है।

फ्लेवर और फ्रेगरेंस कंपनी S H Kelkar का पहली तिमाही में कंसोलिडेटेड रेवेन्यू 13.7% बढ़कर 660 करोड़ रुपये पहुंच गया। हालांकि, कंपनी का नेट डेट बढ़कर 864 करोड़ रुपये हो गया है। कंपनी का कहना है कि यह बढ़ोतरी विस्तार और क्षमता बढ़ाने के लिए किए गए निवेश की वजह से हुई है।
IRB Infrastructure Developers
इन्फ्रास्ट्रक्चर कंपनी IRB Infrastructure Developers Ltd की टोल कलेक्शन में मजबूत बढ़ोतरी दर्ज हुई है। जून 2026 में कंपनी का ग्रॉस टोल कलेक्शन 28% बढ़कर 808 करोड़ रुपये रहा। पिछले साल इसी महीने यह 631 करोड़ रुपये था।

वीडियो सिक्योरिटी और सर्विलांस प्रोडक्ट्स बनाने वाली कंपनी Aditya Infotech Ltd के खिलाफ मध्यस्थता (Arbitration) की प्रक्रिया शुरू हुई है। Avathon Inc. और SparkCognition India Pvt. Ltd. ने न्यूयॉर्क स्थित International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) में कंपनी के खिलाफ मामला दायर किया है।

1. Mercedes-Benz: 9,768 units, up 9 percent YoY
Mercedes India achieved its best-ever H1 sales numbers in 2026, with 4,637 units coming just from Q2 of this year – also a record. The entry-level CLA Electric, which was launched earlier this year in India, experienced strong demand and helped increase Mercedes’ EV share to 14 percent. The E-Class LWB held onto its position as Mercedes India’s bestseller, while the carmaker’s Top-End segment saw a 20 percent sales bump thanks to prevailing demand for the S-Class, V-Class, Maybach, and AMG models.
2. BMW: 9,075 units, up 17 percent YoY
While BMW didn’t shift the most units overall in H1 2026, it clocked the highest YoY growth in sales at 17 percent, which is a record performance for the carmaker. With 2,359 EVs sold in H1 2026 – a staggering 78 percent YoY uptick – BMW is the bestselling luxury EV brand in India. LWB models continued to rake in the numbers for BMW too – one in every two BMWs sold during H1 2026 was an LWB. BMW’s SUV sales also jumped 35 percent YoY during this time, and comprised 65 percent of its overall volumes.
3. JLR: 3,039 units, down 5 percent YoY
JLR is one of only two luxury carmakers to have recorded a downturn in sales during H1 2026. Land Rover’s luxury SUV and off-roader line-up is currently carrying the brand in India, with Jaguar unlikely to launch its upcoming Type 01 electric GT here before the second half of 2027. The soon-to-be-finalised India-UK FTA will also drop prices for CBU models like the Range Rover SV and the Range Rover Sport SV.
4. Audi: 2,182 units, up 3 percent YoY
Audi has been light on new launches lately, with it having launched just the SQ8 in India during H1 2026. Despite that, the German carmaker managed to clock a 3 percent YoY increase in sales. Audi is expected to launch the new-gen Q3 in India this year, along with all-electric models like the A6 e-tron, Q6 e-tron, and facelifted e-tron GT.
5. Volvo: 874 units, up 4 percent YoY
Volvo India launched updated versions of the XC60 and XC90 SUVs, as well as the EX30 EV, in 2025, which helped bump the Swedish carmaker’s sales by 4 percent YoY in H1 2026. Before 2026 draws to a close, Volvo is anticipated to launch two more EVs: the ES90 sedan and the EX90 SUV.
6. Lexus: 759 units, up 3 percent YoY
Lexus India clocked upward sales movement of 3 percent in H1 2026. The Japanese carmaker launched the new-gen ES in all-electric ‘500e’ guise during this timeframe, and is expected to make the luxury sedan’s hybrid version available in India in the coming months too.
7. Porsche: 319 units, down 22 percent YoY
At 22 percent, the highest YoY decline in H1 2026 luxury car sales was recorded by Porsche India. This is likely a result of prospective Porsche buyers holding off on their purchases due to the India-EU FTA, which was signed earlier this year. Once implemented, the FTA would reduce prices for Porsche models in India, as they’re manufactured in Europe and fully imported here.

बुधवार को अमेरिकी राष्ट्रपति डोनाल्ड ट्रंप ने कहा था कि ईरान के साथ हुआ शांति समझौता अब खत्म हो चुका है। इसके बाद कच्चे तेल की कीमतों में तेज उछाल आया और दुनिया भर के शेयर बाजारों में बिकवाली देखने को मिली।
इसी दबाव में निफ्टी 50 2.12% टूटकर 23,882.05 पर बंद हुआ। वहीं सेंसेक्स 2.15% गिरकर 76,503.60 पर आ गया। यह दोनों इंडेक्स का तीन महीने में सबसे खराब कारोबारी सत्र रहा।
ग्लोबल मार्केट पर भी दिखा असर
ट्रंप के बयान के बाद अमेरिकी शेयर बाजार के फ्यूचर्स भी दबाव में आ गए। S&P 500 Futures करीब 0.8% गिर गए। वहीं ब्रेंट क्रूड करीब 5% उछलकर 78 डॉलर प्रति बैरल के आसपास पहुंच गया। हालांकि, सोने की कीमतों में गिरावट आई और डॉलर में उतार-चढ़ाव देखने को मिला।
निफ्टी के लिए अहम स्तर कौन से?
Religare Broking के एसवीपी (रिसर्च) अजीत मिश्रा के मुताबिक, निफ्टी अब 24,000-24,150 के अहम सपोर्ट जोन के नीचे फिसल चुका है। इससे निकट अवधि की तकनीकी तस्वीर कमजोर हुई है।
उन्होंने कहा कि अब 23,650-23,800 का स्तर अगला मजबूत सपोर्ट होगा। वहीं, अगर बाजार में रिकवरी आती है तो 24,150-24,300 के बीच मजबूत रेजिस्टेंस देखने को मिल सकता है।
उनका कहना है कि India VIX में तेज उछाल यह दिखाता है कि अगले कुछ दिनों तक बाजार में उतार-चढ़ाव बना रह सकता है। ऐसे में फिलहाल सतर्क रहने, चुनिंदा शेयरों में निवेश करने और सख्त जोखिम प्रबंधन अपनाने की जरूरत है।
Bajaj Broking ने क्या कहा?
Bajaj Broking के मुताबिक, निफ्टी ने बुधवार को बड़ा बेयरिश कैंडल बनाया। साथ ही हाल की पूरी तेजी भी गंवा दी। कारोबार के दौरान इंडेक्स 24,250 के सपोर्ट के नीचे फिसल गया और दिन में 23,800 तक पहुंच गया।
ब्रोकरेज का कहना है कि अगर निफ्टी 23,800 के नीचे बंद होता है, तो अगले कुछ सत्रों में यह 23,500-23,600 तक फिसल सकता है। हालांकि, अगर 23,800 का स्तर बचा रहता है, तो निफ्टी 23,800 से 24,350 के दायरे में कुछ समय तक कारोबार कर सकता है। फिलहाल 24,350 के नीचे बाजार का रुख कमजोर बना हुआ है।

उत्तर प्रदेश विजिलेंस विभाग ने आय से अधिक संपत्ति के मामले में आगरा में तैनात रहे पूर्व असिस्टेंट रीजनल ट्रांसपोर्ट ऑफिसर (ARTO) ललित कुमार के लखनऊ स्थित घर पर छापा मारा। तलाशी के दौरान अधिकारियों को 1.62 करोड़ रुपये नकद, 13 किलो सोना, 9 किलो चांदी और करीब 35 करोड़ रुपये की संपत्ति से जुड़े दस्तावेज मिले। आधिकारिक बयान के अनुसार, अदालत से सर्च वारंट मिलने के बाद विजिलेंस की टीम ने मंगलवार और बुधवार को ललित कुमार के घर की तलाशी ली।
जांच में पहले ही सामने आया था कि ललित कुमार ने अपनी वैध आय से कहीं ज्यादा संपत्ति बनाई है। इसके बाद उनके खिलाफ भ्रष्टाचार निवारण अधिनियम (Prevention of Corruption Act) के तहत मामला दर्ज किया गया था। राज्य सरकार के निर्देश पर इस मामले की जांच उत्तर प्रदेश विजिलेंस एस्टेब्लिशमेंट की लखनऊ सेक्टर टीम कर रही है।
घर में मिला 13 किलो सोना
लखनऊ के अलीगंज स्थित चंद्रलोक कॉलोनी में ललित कुमार के घर की तलाशी के दौरान जांच अधिकारियों को घर के अलग-अलग हिस्सों में पैकेटों में छिपाकर रखे गए करीब 1.62 करोड़ रुपये नकद मिले। इसके अलावा टीम ने करीब 13 किलो सोना और 9 किलो चांदी भी बरामद की। सोना बार और गहनों के रूप में मिला, जबकि चांदी बार, बिस्कुट और गहनों के रूप में मिली। सरकार की ओर से अधिकृत वैल्यूअर ने बरामद सोने, चांदी और गहनों की कुल कीमत करीब 20 करोड़ रुपये आंकी है।

तलाशी के दौरान अधिकारियों को कई चल और अचल संपत्तियों से जुड़े दस्तावेज भी मिले। इनमें लखनऊ में कई मकान और प्लॉट, लखनऊ, बाराबंकी और रायबरेली में कृषि भूमि, साथ ही लखनऊ और नोएडा में फ्लैट बुकिंग के कागजात शामिल हैं। इन अचल संपत्तियों की अनुमानित कीमत करीब 13 करोड़ रुपये बताई गई है। जांच टीम को बैंक जमा, डाकघर की योजनाओं, म्यूचुअल फंड और फिक्स्ड डिपॉजिट (FD) में 1 करोड़ रुपये से अधिक के निवेश से जुड़े दस्तावेज भी मिले।
इसके अलावा घर से एक टोयोटा इनोवा, एक हुंडई i20 कार और एक रिवॉल्वर भी बरामद हुई। अधिकारियों ने जांच के दौरान घर में मौजूद महंगे फर्नीचर और अन्य कीमती सामान की भी सूची तैयार की है।
35 करोड़ की संपत्ति
उत्तर प्रदेश विजिलेंस एस्टेब्लिशमेंट के मुताबिक, छापेमारी के दौरान बरामद नकदी, सोना-चांदी, गहने, चल-अचल संपत्तियां और निवेश को मिलाकर कुल संपत्ति की कीमत करीब 35 करोड़ रुपये आंकी गई है। विभाग ने बताया कि तलाशी में मिली संदिग्ध और बेहिसाब संपत्ति की जांच की जा रही है। इसे चल रही जांच का हिस्सा बनाया गया है, जिसके बाद आगे की कानूनी कार्रवाई की जाएगी। बयान के अनुसार, इस सफल छापेमारी को अंजाम देने वाली लखनऊ सेक्टर की विजिलेंस टीम को उत्तर प्रदेश विजिलेंस एस्टेब्लिशमेंट के पुलिस महानिदेशक (DGP) और निदेशक ने 1 लाख रुपये का इनाम देने की घोषणा की है।
