Bike and scooter sales report uptick in July 2026

As India gears up to enter the festive season, ICE two-wheeler sales have started to report a small but noticeable uptick, for most manufacturers at least. Here’s how each of the big six two-wheeler heavyweights in the market performed in the month of July 2026.  

Hero: 5,01,403 units

Hero MotoCorp continues to be at the top of this pile, albeit it reported a small 0.29 percent decrease compared to its sales in June 2026 (5,02,890 units). By contrast, the company reported a healthy 21.58 percent increase in comparison to its sales in July 2025 (4,12,397 units). It bears mentioning that Hero bundles the growing sales numbers of its electric subsidiary, Vida, which is now in the top 5 bestselling brands in the country.

Hero’s biggest adventure bike, the Xpulse 421, has been spotted testing for the first time up in the mountains and it seems quite close to being production ready. The company exported 32,013 units in July, which was a decrease compared to the 38,269 units in June.

Honda: 4,76,436 units

Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) is in its usual runner-up position behind Hero, and it reported a small 1.59 percent increase compared to its sales in June 2026 (4,68,956 units). Similarly, the company also reported an 2.17 percent increase in comparison to its July 2025 sales figure of 4,66,331 units.

Honda recently revealed a bevy of new made-in-India sub-500cc premium two-wheelers including the likes of the Rebel 300 and 500 bobbers, CB500 neo-retro single, ADV160 maxi-scooter and XR300 off-roader twins. Expect this push in the premium space from Honda to pose a significantly revamped threat to Hero’s longstanding #1 spot. HMSI exported 66,498 units in July, which was an increase over the 59,325 units it sent abroad in June.

TVS: 4,37,394 units

TVS Motor Company has cemented its #3 position in India and of late, its numbers have been much closer to Honda ahead of it than Bajaj trailing it. In July 2026, the company reported a 6.42 percent increase compared to the 4,11,014 units it sold in June 2026. In a similar vein, TVS also reported a substantial xx percent increase in comparison to its sales in July 2025 (3,08,720 units). It’s worth noting that TVS – India’s electric two-wheeler sales leader – doesn’t bundle in the sales of its electric scooter trifecta – iQube, Orbiter and X – into the number above.

TVS is working hard behind the scenes to set up its Paddock premium bike dealer network which will also sell the Norton range in India. The Hosur-based marque is India’s second largest two-wheeler exporter and it shipped 1,65,744 units overseas in July, up from 1,54,403 units exported in June.

Bajaj: 1,65,747 units

Bajaj Auto is in its usual number four spot and it reported a marginal 0.72 percent decline last month in comparison to its sales in June 2026 (1,66,956 units). However, it did report a 19 percent increase when compared to its July 2025 sales of 1,39,279 units. It bears mentioning that Bajaj bundles in the sales of the sub-400cc KTM and Triumph models it manufactures as well as those of the Chetak electric scooter – India’s second bestselling e-scooter – into the number above.

The Classic Pulsar models are due to be revamped in the coming weeks and expect Bajaj to ride a surging wave of demand for these as the festive season gets well and truly underway. Bajaj is India’s largest two-wheeler exporter and it sent 2,22,972 units overseas in July, a slight improvement over the 2,22,439 units it exported in June.

Suzuki: 1,23,216 units

Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt. Ltd. (SMIPL) reported its best-ever monthly sales in July, and in doing so recorded a significant 35.01 percent increase over the 91,264 units it sold in June 2026. Even in comparison to its sales in July 2025 (96,029 units), Suzuki reported a 28.31 percent increase.

Suzuki shipped 19,769 units overseas in July, which was lower than the 23,766 units it exported in June.

Royal Enfield: 1,05,317 units

Royal Enfield sold more than 1 lakh units domestically in July and in doing so, it reported a 2.32 percent increase when compared to its sales in June 2026 (1,02,930 units). Even in comparison to its sales in July 2025 (76,254 units), the company reported a healthy 38.11 percent increment. Recently, RE expanded the reach of its Flying Flea electric brand to multiple locations across Bengaluru, after beginning sales of the C6 in the recent past.

The company exported 12,915 units in July, higher than the 11,102 units it sold abroad in June.

भारत और श्रीलंका के बीच 2 मैचों की टेस्ट सीरीज की शुरुआत 15 अगस्त से होगी। दोनों टीमों के बीच ये मुकाबला गॉल में खेला जाएगा। वहीं इस मुकाबले से पहले टीम इंडिया को बड़ा झटका लगा है। स्टार तेज गेंदबाज जसप्रीत बुमराह चोट की वजह से इस सीरीज से बाहर हो गए हैं। जसप्रीत बुमराह की जगह भारतीय टीम में जम्मू-कश्मीर के युवा तेज गेंदबाज आकिब नबी को मौका दिया गया है। तेज गेंदबाज आकिब नबी को पहली बार टीम इंडिया में जगह दी है। सीरीज का दूसरा और अंतिम टेस्ट 23 अगस्त से कोलंबो में खेला जाएगा।

सीरीज से बाहर हुए बुमराह

तेज गेंदबाज जसप्रीत बुमराह को इंग्लैंड के खिलाफ वनडे सीरीज के दौरान उनके बाएं घुटने में चोट लगी थी, जिससे उबरने में अभी और समय लगेगा। बीसीसीआई ने साफ किया है कि बुमराह की रिकवरी पर मेडिकल टीम लगातार नजर रख रही है और पूरी तरह फिट होने के बाद ही उन्हें मैदान पर वापसी का मौका दिया जाएगा। बुमराह को पहले श्रीलंका के खिलाफ टेस्ट टीम में जगह दी गई थी। लेकिन अभी पूरी तरह फिट नहीं हो पाए हैं, इस वजह से वह सीरीज से बाहर हो गए हैं।

कौन है आकिब नबी

तेज गेंदबाज आकिब नबी जम्मू-कश्मीर की ओर से रणजी मैच खेलते हैं। 29 वर्षीय आकिब नबी ने पिछले दो रणजी ट्रॉफी सीजनों में अपनी शानदार गेंदबाजी से खास पहचान बनाई है। इस दौरान उन्होंने कुल 104 विकेट लेकर घरेलू क्रिकेट में दमदार प्रदर्शन किया। खास तौर पर 2025-26 सीजन उनके लिए यादगार रहा, जब उन्होंने 60 विकेट झटके और जम्मू-कश्मीर को पहली बार रणजी ट्रॉफी चैंपियन बनाने में बड़ी भूमिका निभाई। नई गेंद से लगातार प्रभावी गेंदबाजी और जरूरत के समय विकेट लेने की उनकी क्षमता ने चयनकर्ताओं को काफी प्रभावित किया।

Benefits on all other Creta petrol and N Line variants total Rs 1 lakh in August. Meanwhile, buyers of any diesel Creta variant get a much lower benefit of up to Rs 10,000. The Hyundai Creta price (including N Line) starts at Rs 10.91 lakh and extends to Rs 19.95 lakh.

Hyundai Venue offers in August 2026

Up to Rs 5,000

Buyers looking to bring home a Venue this month don’t get much in the way of offers, with only a benefit of up to Rs 5,000 on all of the compact SUV’s variants. The Venue price range, including the N Line variants, is Rs 8 lakh to Rs 15.65 lakh.

Hyundai Exter offers in August 2026

Up to Rs 55,000

Though the Exter received an update earlier this year, units of the pre-facelift model continue to be available. The pre-facelift Exter’s EX and EX(O) trims (petrol and CNG) get a benefit of up to Rs 10,000 only, while all other variants can be had at up to Rs 55,000 off. As for the facelifted Exter, benefits stand at up to Rs 10,000 for the base HX2 variants, and up to Rs 50,000 for all other variants. Prices for the 2026 Exter start at Rs 5.81 lakh and extend to Rs 9.46 lakh.

Hyundai Verna discounts in August 2026

Up to Rs 95,000

CVT variants of the pre-facelift Verna sedan feature benefits of up to Rs 95,000, while all other variants get up to Rs 70,000 off. Those looking to purchase the updated Verna, on the other hand, can take advantage of up to Rs 65,000 in benefits across all variants. Prices for the 2026 Verna start at Rs 10.99 lakh and climb to Rs 18.26 lakh.

Hyundai Creta Electric discounts in August 2026

Up to Rs 50,000

All variants of the Creta’s EV derivative, the Creta Electric, are available with benefits of up Rs 50,000 in August, which is a fair bit lower than the maximum Rs 85,000 discount offered last month. Offered with 42kWh and 51.4kWh battery options, the Creta Electric is priced between Rs 18.03 lakh and Rs 23.67 lakh, exclusive of home charger and installation costs.

Hyundai Alcazar discounts in August 2026

Up to Rs 75,000

Much like last month, petrol variants of the Alcazar three-row SUV can be purchased with benefits ranging up to Rs 75,000. Meanwhile, diesel Alcazar variants get benefits of up to Rs 45,000. The Hyundai Alcazar price range is Rs 14.51 lakh to Rs 21.10 lakh.

Hyundai Grand i10 Nios discounts in August 2026

Up to Rs 70,000

Hyundai’s most affordable model in India, the Grand i10 Nios, gets up to Rs 25,000 in benefits for its base Era variant. All other petrol variants of the Grand i10 Nios sport much higher benefits of up to Rs 70,000. Lastly, all CNG variants of the hatchback are available at up to Rs 65,000 off. The Grand i10 Nios price starts at Rs 5.60 lakh and tops off at Rs 8.04 lakh.

Hyundai i20 offers in August 2026

Up to Rs 45,000

Aside from the base Era variant of the i20, which is available at up to Rs 25,000 off, all variants of the premium hatchback (including the sporty N Line versions) can be purchased with up to Rs 45,000 in benefits. Pricing for the standard and N Line variants of the i2 ranges from Rs 6 lakh to Rs 11.59 lakh.

Hyundai Aura offers in August 2026

Up to Rs 30,000

The S, SX, and Corporate CNG variants of the Aura compact sedan are available with benefits totalling Rs 30,000. Meanwhile, all other petrol variants of the Aura get benefits of up to Rs 20,000 this month. The Aura is priced from Rs 6 lakh to Rs 8.6 lakh.

कई मुख्य खेल जैसे कि हॉकी, कुश्ती और शूटिंग के ना होने के बावूजद भी भारत ने स्कॉटलैंड के ग्लासगो में खेले गए राष्ट्रमंडल खेलों में अपना दम दिखाया और 39 मेडल पाकर अंकतालिका में चौथा स्थान प्राप्त किया। ऐसा माना जा रहा था जहां भारत के सफलतम वैश्विक खेल नदारद है वहां मेडल तालिका में भारत अंकतालिका में शीर्ष दस देशों में आ जाए तो बड़ी बात होगी।

टेबल टेनिस में भी सिर्फ पुरुष और महिला के टीम मैच हुए थे, एकल और युगल नहीं। टेबल टेनिस में भारत ने मलेशिया को हराकर दोनों स्वर्ण पदक पर कब्जा किया।लेकिन भारोत्तोलन, बॉक्सिंग, एथलेटिक्स के ट्रैक एंड फी्लड इवेंट के साथ पैरा एथलेटिक्स में भी भारत ने झंडे गाढे़।

ग्लासगो के रेस्टोरेंट में भारत के नक्शे से नॉर्थ ईस्ट का हिस्सा गायब, बॉक्सर लवलीना ने जताई नाराजगी

स्कॉटलैंड के ग्लास्गो में चल रहे कॉमनवेल्थ गेम्स में भारत ने राष्ट्रमंडल खेलों में 13 स्वर्ण, 17 रजत और 9 कांस्य पदकों के साथ कुल 39 पदक अपने नाम किए। भारत ने स्पर्धा में चौथा स्थान हासिल किया है। जीत का जश्न मनाने एक रेस्टोरेंट पहुंची मुक्केबाजों की टीम उस समय हैरान रह गई जब उन्हें मिले नैपकिन से पूर्वोत्तर गायब मिला। जम्मू कश्मीर को भी गलत तरीके से दिखाया गया था।

 

रेस्टोरेंट में शनिवार को डिनर के दौरान रजत पदक विजेता बॉक्सर लवलीना बोरगोहेन ने बड़ी गलती पकड़ी। उन्होंने भारतीय रेस्टोरेंट में डिनर के दौरान मिले नैपकिन पर बने भारत के नक्शे से नॉर्थ-ईस्ट को गायब करने पर गहरी आपत्ति दर्ज कराई। उनके साथ भारतीय दल के अधिकारी भी थे। लवलीना बोरगोहेन की इस आपत्ति को वहां के लोगों ने गंभीरता से लिया। 

ग्लासगो के पॉपुलर भारतीय रेस्टोरेंट मिस्टर सिंग्स इंडिया में भारतीय मुक्केबाजों का दल यहां डिनर के लिए पहुंचा था। टेबल पर रखी नैपकिन पर नजर पड़ते ही खुशियों का माहौल अचानक गर्मा गया। स्टार बॉक्सर लवलीना बोरगोहेन ने ध्यान दिया कि रेस्टोरेंट के नैपकिन पर भारत का जो नक्शा छपा था, उसमें से नॉर्थ ईस्ट इंडिया का पूरा हिस्सा गायब था। इस गंभीर लापरवाही पर लवलीना ने तुरंत अपनी नाराजगी जाहिर की।

उन्होंने कहा कि रेस्टोरेंट के नैपकिन पर छपे नक्शे से हमारा नॉर्थ ईस्ट इंडिया गायब है। भारत का हर एक हिस्सा बेहद अहम है और हर जगह देश का सही और पूरा नक्शा ही दिखाया जाना चाहिए।

 

BFI अध्यक्ष ने भी किया लवलीना का समर्थन

उनकी आपत्ति का बॉक्सिंग फेडरेशन ऑफ इंडिया (BFI) के अध्यक्ष अजय सिंह ने भी तत्काल समर्थन किया। अजय सिंह ने न केवल उत्तर-पूर्व के बारे में बोरगोहेन की बात का समर्थन किया, बल्कि उसी नक्शे में जम्मू-कश्मीर को गलत तरीके से दिखाए जाने की ओर भी इशारा किया।

 

उन्होंने बताया कि इस नक्शे में सिर्फ नार्थ ईस्ट इंडिया ही नहीं, बल्कि जम्मू-कश्मीर को भी सही तरीके से नहीं दिखाया गया था। अजय सिंह ने रेस्टोरेंट प्रबंधन से इन सभी नैपकिन को तुरंत हटाने और सही नक्शे का इस्तेमाल करने की मांग की है। उन्होंने कहा कि विदेशों में भारतीय संस्कृति और पहचान को बढ़ावा देने वाले किसी भी स्थान पर ऐसी बड़ी गलतियों को बर्दाश्त नहीं किया जा सकता है। ग्लासगो में मेहमाननवाजी के लिए मशहूर 'मिस्टर सिंह्स इंडिया' रेस्टोरेंट ने इस भौगोलिक गलती को सुधारने पर तत्काल ही ध्यान दिया और शीघ्र ही इसको दुरुस्त किया जाएगा।

Another notable hardware change is the adoption of a rear monoshock, replacing the twin shock absorbers that have been a hallmark of the Classic Pulsar range for over two decades. Up front, the motorcycle continues with a conventional telescopic fork. 

The bike runs on 17-inch alloy wheels – the design of which appears similar to what’s seen on the current Pulsar 125 and Pulsar N125 – shod in what appears to be MRF rubber, with a disc brake at the front and a drum at the rear. The bike seen in the images is a single-seat version, but Bajaj could offer a split-seat variant as well. Lastly, the gear lever appears to be a more modern setup of a toe-only shifter without the heel piece seen on older Pulsars.

The bike is expected to feature an all-new engine, and that does appear to be the case visually – the casings look different from the outgoing unit and the exhaust header routing has been redesigned. For reference, the current Pulsar 125 is powered by a 124.4cc single-cylinder engine producing 11.8hp at 8,500rpm and 10.8Nm at 6,500rpm.

Styling retains familiar Pulsar proportions but introduces a number of modern touches. The overall design of the fuel tank and tank shrouds is familiar, but the side panels have been completely redesigned. The tail section also appears slimmer than before, and the motorcycle uses halogen indicators. Another notable update is the addition of a colour LCD instrument cluster.

The new Pulsar 125 will take on rivals such as the TVS Raider 125, Hero Xtreme 125R and Honda CB125 Hornet in one of India’s most competitive motorcycle segments. Pricing will be announced at the August 12 launch, but we could see a slight increase over the current model’s starting price of Rs 92,341 (ex-showroom, Delhi).

Double-digit fuel economy figures – I haven’t seen those on my daily commute in years! Part of the reason is that I’ve been driving mostly EVs lately, and they don’t use any fuel. And the other is that there are so few diesels, and those that remain have taken quite a hit on the economy front with all those emissions upgrades and various weight increases. So imagine my surprise when this large, heavy, super-luxurious limousine showed me upwards of 12kpl on my traffic-heavy 9km commute.

The fuel economy is but one of many bright blips on a limo that wastes no time showing you why it’s India’s favourite luxury car. And that’s despite its on-road price knocking on the door of a crore. It looks tremendous, more so in this Verde Silver paint, a shade I’m glad Mercedes added to its otherwise monochrome palette. It’s big but not ungainly, and its 18-inch wheels are a triumph of design – looking elegant and bigger than they actually are.

Sadly, I don’t have a chauffeur, so I can’t experience the best seats the E-Class has to offer; that privilege goes to my bags every day.

Firm pedal resistance, along with turbo and gearbox lag, can make for abrupt starts from a standstill.

However, the big limo is surprisingly nice from behind the wheel too. I took little time to adjust to its large dimensions, and the steering is quick and responsive, so it wasn’t long before I was pointing its long nose into lanes only just about wide enough for it. My one grouse is the accelerator pedal, which doesn’t feel consistently weighted, and when combined with some reasonable turbo and gearbox lag, can make for an un-Merc-like lurch if you’re not careful.

‘Superscreen’ dashboard collects dust easily and catches a lot of reflections that distract the driver.

A big talking point of this new E-Class was the decision to replace the wood and leather dashboard with a giant panel of screens. I’m glad they’ve retained some rich-feeling open-pore wood on the dash, doors and seats though. The central screen is hugely impressive – bright, crisp and full of detail. But having a glass surface for a dashboard invites dust and reflections, which became a pain when driving in the afternoon sunlight. But that’s a problem for your chauffeur, and if you have an E-Class, chances are you have one in your employ too.

The E 220d is the last diesel standing in its segment, and it’s all the better for it. Once the most vilified fuel in the country, the uncertainty around petrol these days might even turn people back to the black pump. And the smooth, refined, efficient E is a shining example of how good that can be.

LEAP India IPO: 7 अगस्त से खुलेगा ₹2480 करोड़ का IPO, जानिए पूरी डिटेल

LEAP India IPO: सप्लाई चेन मैनेजमेंट और एसेट पूलिंग सर्विस देने वाली LEAP India का ₹2,480 करोड़ का IPO 7 अगस्त से निवेशकों के लिए खुलेगा। KKR के निवेश वाली इस कंपनी का एंकर बुक 6 अगस्त को ओपन होगी।

निवेशक IPO में 11 अगस्त तक पैसे लगा सकेंगे।। शेयरों का अलॉटमेंट 12 अगस्त तक होने की उम्मीद है। कंपनी के शेयर 14 अगस्त को शेयर बाजार में लिस्ट हो सकते हैं। IPO का प्राइस बैंड 3 अगस्त को घोषित होगा।

फ्रेश इश्यू और OFS

इस IPO में ₹480 करोड़ का फ्रेश इश्यू और ₹2,000 करोड़ का ऑफर फॉर सेल (OFS) शामिल है। OFS के तहत प्रमोटर Vertical Holdings II करीब ₹1,998.62 करोड़ और KIA EBT Scheme 3 करीब ₹1.37 करोड़ के शेयर बेचेंगे।

पहले कंपनी ₹400 करोड़ का फ्रेश इश्यू लाने वाली थी। अब इसे बढ़ाकर ₹480 करोड़ कर दिया गया है। OFS का आकार पहले जैसा ही रखा गया है।

कर्मचारियों के लिए भी रिजर्व शेयर

LEAP India ने अपने पात्र कर्मचारियों के लिए ₹1.25 करोड़ तक के शेयर रिजर्व रखे हैं।

ग्लोबल निवेश कंपनी KKR की इकाई Vertical Holdings II और Sunu Mathew कंपनी के प्रमोटर हैं। इनकी हिस्सेदारी क्रमशः 73.78% और 21.07% है।

LEAP India क्या करती है?

LEAP India देशभर में सप्लाई चेन और एसेट पूलिंग सर्विस देती है। कंपनी के पास 1.47 करोड़ से ज्यादा एसेट्स और 10,100 से ज्यादा कस्टमर टचपॉइंट्स हैं।

यह FMCG, फूड एंड बेवरेज, थर्ड-पार्टी लॉजिस्टिक्स, ई-कॉमर्स, क्विक कॉमर्स, ऑटोमोबाइल और इंडस्ट्रियल सेक्टर की कंपनियों को अपनी सेवाएं देती है।

IPO से मिले पैसे का इस्तेमाल

LEAP India के IPO का बड़ा हिस्सा OFS के जरिए मौजूदा निवेशकों की हिस्सेदारी बेचने के लिए है।

फ्रेश इश्यू से मिलने वाली राशि में से ₹360 करोड़ का इस्तेमाल कर्ज चुकाने में किया जाएगा। बाकी रकम सामान्य कॉरपोरेट जरूरतों पर खर्च होगी। जून 2026 तक कंपनी पर कुल ₹1,023.2 करोड़ का कंसोलिडेटेड कर्ज था।

LEAP India का वित्तीय प्रदर्शन

वित्त वर्ष 2025-26 में LEAP India का प्रदर्शन मजबूत रहा। इस दौरान शुद्ध मुनाफा 66% बढ़कर ₹62.3 करोड़ हो गया, जो एक साल पहले ₹37.6 करोड़ था। वहीं, रेवेन्यू 56.4% बढ़कर ₹729.5 करोड़ पहुंच गया। पिछले वित्त वर्ष में यह ₹466.5 करोड़ था।

इस IPO के बुक रनिंग लीड मैनेजर JM Financial, Avendus Capital, IIFL Capital Services और UBS Securities India हैं।
