The Scorpio N is priced between Rs 13.69 lakh and Rs 25.49 lakh (ex-showroom). It rivals the Tata Safari and Thar Roxx. It impresses with its smooth petrol and diesel engines and off-road capability, although the third-row seats and luggage space are not great.

Priced between Rs 12.52 lakh and Rs 23.52 lakh, the Thar Roxx rivals the Force Gurkha 5-door and serves as a more practical alternative to the three-door Thar. It combines the Thar’s off-road capability with a more practical cabin, better refinement and stronger road manners.

Up to Rs 75,000 off

Mahindra is offering benefits of up to Rs 75,000 on the Scorpio Classic. The offer comprises a cash discount of Rs 50,000 and accessories worth Rs 25,000. Priced between Rs 13.37 lakh and Rs 17.40 lakh, the Scorpio Classic continues to appeal with its refined diesel engine and rugged character, although it lacks the features and driving sophistication of newer rivals.

Both SUVs are built to withstand rough roads and heavy use, although they are not as refined or as well equipped as newer compact SUVs.

The Grand Vitara Sigma petrol receives the highest discounts of up to Rs 1.30 lakh. Delta petrol variants are available with benefits of up to Rs 1.20 lakh, while Zeta, Alpha and AWD variants get offers worth Rs 1.20 lakh, along with a complimentary five-year extended warranty.

Strong hybrid variants also receive plenty of benefits, totaling up to Rs 1.25 lakh along with zero road tax (worth up to Rs 1.85 lakh in Delhi), a five-year extended warranty. The benefits comprise of an exchange bonus of up to Rs 75,000 or a Rs 45,000 scrappage bonus, a Rs 30,000 loyalty upgrade bonus and a Rs 20,000 institutional discount. Delta CNG variants get benefits of up to Rs 1.05 lakh, while Zeta CNG variants receive up to Rs 95,000.

The biggest change inside is the addition of Tata’s 12.3-inch Harman touchscreen infotainment system, replacing the 10.25-inch unit offered on the corresponding variants of the standard Nexon. The 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster is carried over. An integrated dashcam that works with the 360-degree camera system has also been added.

However, MY25 models of the Clavis get up to Rs 75,000 cash discount, and have the same loyalty, exchange/scrappage benefits as the MY26 models, but miss out on a corporate offer. Moreover, only MY25 turbo-petrol variants of the MPV get free extended warranty coverage. Priced from Rs 11.27 lakh to Rs 21.67 lakh, it rivals the likes of the Maruti XL6.

Benefits of up to Rs 1.5 lakh

At up to Rs 1.5 lakh, the Carnival receives the highest benefits among all Kia models this month. MY26 versions either an exchange or scrappage offer of up to Rs 1 lakh, and a corporate offer of up to Rs 50,000, while MY25 versions get only a scrappage offer of Rs 20,000. The Carnival is Kia’s most expensive ICE model in our market and is priced at Rs 59.65 lakh.

The all-electric counterpart of the Carens Clavis is offered with benefits of up to Rs 55,000. MY26 versions of the Carens Clavis EV are eligible for a loyalty benefit and corporate offer of Rs 20,0000 and up to Rs 15,000, respectively. Additionally, it’s also available with either a scrappage or exchange offer of Rs 20,000. For MY25 models, only the extended range (ER) variants come with loyalty and scrappage benefits of Rs 20,000 each. Currently, the most affordable electric MPV in our market, it has a price range of Rs 18.04 lakh to Rs 25 lakh. It is Kia’s answer to the BYD e MAX 7 and an MPV alternative to the likes of the Mahindra XEV 9S.

Benefits of up to Rs 50,000

The Syros compact SUV is available with benefits of up to Rs 50,000. For MY26 models, you get a cash discount of up to Rs 10,000, a corporate offer of up to Rs 15,000, and either an exchange or scrappage benefit of up to Rs 20,000, while MY25 versions of the Sonet only get a scrappage offer. Priced from Rs 7.41 lakh to Rs 14.37 lakh, it takes on rivals like the Skoda Kushaq, Tata Nexon, and contenders alongside the Syros.

Benefits of up to Rs 40,000

The second-generation Seltos, which was introduced earlier this year, is available with benefits of up to Rs 40,000. These include a loyalty benefit and scrappage bonus of Rs 20,000 each.

Meanwhile, the first-generation Seltos only gets a scrappage offer. The second-generation Seltos is priced from Rs 11 lakh and up to Rs 21.82 lakh. Top 10 cars with front parking sensors under Rs 20 lakh

Once the dominion of premium models, front parking sensors have now found their way into more affordable ones. We have listed the top 10 cars that get parking sensors at the front as well, and that too at an ex-showroom price of under Rs 20 lakh.

10. Kia Carens Clavis EV

Prices start at Rs 18.04 lakh

All variants of the 7-seat Kia Carens Clavis EV get front parking sensors. However, we are only considering the HTK+ and HTX E, since the rest are priced above Rs 20 lakh. These trims are offered with a 42kWh battery pack with an MIDC-claimed range of 404km. The single electric motor of the Clavis EV generates 133hp, while charging the battery from 10-80 percent takes 39 minutes when plugged into a 100kWh DC fast-charger.

9. Maruti Suzuki Victoris

Prices start at Rs 15.39 lakh

The Maruti Suzuki Victoris gets front parking sensors, but only on the ZXI Plus and the top-spec ZXI Plus (O), priced at Rs 19.99 lakh. These are available with manual and automatic transmissions, petrol and strong-hybrid options, and in front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive configurations. The naturally aspirated (NA) 1.5-litre engine of the Victoris manages 103hp, whereas the strong-hybrid’s powertrain achieves a combined output of 116hp.

8. Kia Carens Clavis

Prices start at Rs 15.28 lakh

Front parking sensors are on the equipment list for the HTK+, HTK+ (O), HTX, GTX, and HTX (O) trims. The latter costs Rs 19.96 lakh, with higher trims breaching our stipulated Rs 20 lakh price cut-off. Like its EV sibling, the Carens Clavis is also a 7-seater. Kia is offering three 1.5-litre engines: a 115hp petrol, a 160hp turbo-petrol with direct injection, and a 116hp turbo-diesel. Transmissions include a 6-speed manual, a 6-speed torque converter automatic (AT) and a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic (DCT).

7. Hyundai Venue

Prices start at Rs 14.65 lakh

The second-gen Hyundai Venue adds front parking sensors to its already lengthy list of features. However, it is only the range-topping Venue HX10 and Venue N Line N10 variants of Hyundai’s compact SUV that get this nifty addition. The top-spec trim has a 1.5-litre turbo-diesel engine with 116hp, and costs Rs 15.65 lakh.

The HX10 also gets a 1.0-litre direct injection turbo-petrol with 120hp, which is shared with the N Line’s N10 trim. The diesel mill’s gearbox options are a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque converter automatic, whilst the petrol engine gets the manual and 7-speed DCT options.

6. Kia Seltos

The entry-level HTE, HTE (O) and HTK trims of the Kia Seltos come equipped only with rear parking sensors. To get them on the front as well, you’ll need to step up to the HTK (O) at the bare minimum. Keeping our sub-20-lakh budget, the most expensive Seltos trims with front parking sensors are the GTX (A) and X-Line. Only the top-two trims of the Kia Sonet get front parking sensors, and these are the GTX+ and X-Line. Buyers of the HX6, HX6+, HX8 and HX10 trims of the Hyundai Verna will benefit from having front parking sensors. The midsize sedan’s range-topping HX10 trim is priced at Rs 18.26 lakh. There are two 1.5-litre petrol mills; the naturally aspirated unit produces 115hp, with the direct injection turbo-petrol motor making 160hp. While both engines get a 6-speed manual as standard, the NA can be had with an IVT (Intelligent Variable Transmission). However, only the turbo-petrol variants get the 7-speed DCT.

The sub-4-metre SUV gets a 1.2-litre MPFI (multi-point fuel injection) and 1.2-litre direct injection turbo-petrol engines producing 111hp and 131hp. A 1.5-litre turbo-diesel engine with 117hp is also available, mated to a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed AMT (automated manual transmission). The petrol versions get a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque converter automatic.

The most affordable car with front parking sensors is the Renault Triber. Only the top-end Emotion trim of this three-row MPV gets this feature, and the range tops out at Rs 8.53 lakh. The Triber is powered by a 1.0-litre three-cylinder petrol engine that produces 72hp and 96Nm. While there is only one engine option, buyers can choose between a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AMT.

Hyundai India is offering compelling benefits on the Creta, Verna, Exter, Grand i10 Nios, Aura, Creta Electric, i20, Venue, and Alcazar this month. These benefits comprise cash discounts, scrappage/exchange bonuses, corporate offers, and additional upgrade incentives.

Hyundai Creta discounts in August 2026

Up to Rs 1 lakh

The base E petrol trim of the Creta gets benefits of up to Rs 85,000 this month, while the SUV’s CVT variants are available at up to Rs 90,000 off. Benefits on all other Creta petrol and N Line variants total Rs 1 lakh in August. Meanwhile, buyers of any diesel Creta variant get a much lower benefit of up to Rs 10,000. The Hyundai Creta price (including N Line) starts at Rs 10.91 lakh and extends to Rs 19.95 lakh.

Hyundai Venue offers in August 2026

Up to Rs 5,000

Buyers looking to bring home a Venue this month don’t get much in the way of offers, with only a benefit of up to Rs 5,000 on all of the compact SUV’s variants. The Venue price range, including the N Line variants, is Rs 8 lakh to Rs 15.65 lakh.

Hyundai Exter offers in August 2026

Up to Rs 55,000

Though the Exter received an update earlier this year, units of the pre-facelift model continue to be available. The pre-facelift Exter’s EX and EX(O) trims (petrol and CNG) get a benefit of up to Rs 10,000 only, while all other variants can be had at up to Rs 55,000 off. As for the facelifted Exter, benefits stand at up to Rs 10,000 for the base HX2 variants, and up to Rs 50,000 for all other variants. Prices for the 2026 Exter start at Rs 5.81 lakh and extend to Rs 9.46 lakh.

Hyundai Verna discounts in August 2026

Up to Rs 95,000

CVT variants of the pre-facelift Verna sedan feature benefits of up to Rs 95,000, while all other variants get up to Rs 70,000 off. Those looking to purchase the updated Verna, on the other hand, can take advantage of up to Rs 65,000 in benefits across all variants. Prices for the 2026 Verna start at Rs 10.99 lakh and climb to Rs 18.26 lakh.

Hyundai Creta Electric discounts in August 2026

Up to Rs 50,000

All variants of the Creta’s EV derivative, the Creta Electric, are available with benefits of up Rs 50,000 in August, which is a fair bit lower than the maximum Rs 85,000 discount offered last month. Offered with 42kWh and 51.4kWh battery options, the Creta Electric is priced between Rs 18.03 lakh and Rs 23.67 lakh, exclusive of home charger and installation costs.

Hyundai Alcazar discounts in August 2026

Up to Rs 75,000

Much like last month, petrol variants of the Alcazar three-row SUV can be purchased with benefits ranging up to Rs 75,000. Meanwhile, diesel Alcazar variants get benefits of up to Rs 45,000. The Hyundai Alcazar price range is Rs 14.51 lakh to Rs 21.10 lakh.

Hyundai Grand i10 Nios discounts in August 2026

Up to Rs 70,000

Hyundai’s most affordable model in India, the Grand i10 Nios, gets up to Rs 25,000 in benefits for its base Era variant. All other petrol variants of the Grand i10 Nios sport much higher benefits of up to Rs 70,000. Lastly, all CNG variants of the hatchback are available at up to Rs 65,000 off. The Grand i10 Nios price starts at Rs 5.60 lakh and tops off at Rs 8.04 lakh.

Hyundai i20 offers in August 2026

Up to Rs 45,000

Aside from the base Era variant of the i20, which is available at up to Rs 25,000 off, all variants of the premium hatchback (including the sporty N Line versions) can be purchased with up to Rs 45,000 in benefits. Pricing for the standard and N Line variants of the i2 ranges from Rs 6 lakh to Rs 11.59 lakh.

Hyundai Aura offers in August 2026

Up to Rs 30,000

The S, SX, and Corporate CNG variants of the Aura compact sedan are available with benefits totalling Rs 30,000. Meanwhile, all other petrol variants of the Aura get benefits of up to Rs 20,000 this month. The Aura is priced from Rs 6 lakh to Rs 8.6 lakh.

Tata Punch EV Facelift: 2026 टाटा पंच EV फेसलिफ्ट को हाल ही में हुए भारत NCAP क्रैश टेस्ट में 5-स्टार सेफ्टी रेटिंग मिली है। इस इलेक्ट्रिक SUV को एडल्ट ऑक्यूपेंट प्रोटेक्शन के लिए 32 में से 31.09 और चाइल्ड ऑक्यूपेंट प्रोटेक्शन (बच्चों की सुरक्षा) के लिए 49 में से 45 स्कोर मिला है। इस स्कोर के साथ यह भारत के क्रैश टेस्ट प्रोग्राम के तहत टेस्ट किए गए सबसे अच्छी रेटिंग वाले मॉडल्स में शामिल हो गई है।

भारत NCAP स्कोर और क्रैश टेस्ट परफॉर्मेंस

Punch EV फेसलिफ्ट ने एडल्ट ऑक्यूपेंट प्रोटेक्शन असेसमेंट में 32 में से 31.09 और चाइल्ड ऑक्यूपेंट प्रोटेक्शन (बच्चों की सुरक्षा) में 49 में से 45 स्कोर हासिल किया, जिस वजह से इसे दोनों कैटेगरी में फाइव-स्टार रेटिंग मिली। भारत NCAP टेस्ट रिपोर्ट के अनुसार, फ्रंटल ऑफसेट क्रैश टेस्ट में ड्राइवर और आगे बैठे पैसेंजर की सुरक्षा अच्छी रही, जबकि साइड इम्पैक्ट असेसमेंट में भी परफॉर्मेंस शानदार रही।

बता दें कि बच्चों की सुरक्षा जांचने के लिए कार में चाइल्ड रेस्ट्रेंट सिस्टम (CRS) का इस्तेमाल किया गया। इस टेस्ट में भी Punch EV ने अच्छा प्रदर्शन किया और CRS की फिटिंग व डायनामिक परफॉर्मेंस के मामले में बेहतर स्कोर हासिल किया। हालांकि, ध्यान देने वाली बात यह है कि Bharat NCAP के ये स्कोर सिर्फ उसी वेरिएंट के लिए मान्य हैं, जिसका क्रैश टेस्ट किया गया है। इसलिए बाजार में मौजूद Punch EV के हर वेरिएंट को यही सेफ्टी रेटिंग मिलेगी, ऐसा मानना सही नहीं होगा।

Tata Punch EV: सेफ्टी फीचर्स

Punch EV, Tata Motors के Acti.ev आर्किटेक्चर पर बनी है और इसमें कई तरह के एक्टिव और पैसिव सेफ्टी फीचर्स दिए गए हैं। वेरिएंट के आधार पर, इसमें छह एयरबैग, इलेक्ट्रॉनिक स्टेबिलिटी कंट्रोल (ESC), EBD के साथ ABS, ISOFIX चाइल्ड सीट माउंट, सभी पैसेंजर्स के लिए 3-पॉइंट सीट बेल्ट, टायर प्रेशर मॉनिटरिंग सिस्टम (TPMS), 360-डिग्री कैमरा और ड्राइवर की मदद करने वाले दूसरे फीचर्स मिलते हैं।

हालांकि, Bharat NCAP की सेफ्टी रेटिंग सिर्फ कार में दिए गए फीचर्स की लिस्ट देखकर तय नहीं की जाती। इस टेस्ट में कार की बॉडी स्ट्रक्चर की मजबूती, फ्रंट और साइड इम्पैक्ट क्रैश टेस्ट में उसका प्रदर्शन, यात्रियों को सुरक्षित रखने वाले सिस्टम और बच्चों की सुरक्षा से जुड़े फीचर्स को भी ध्यान में रखा जाता है।

खरीदारों को क्या जानना चाहिए

आज के समय में कार खरीदते वक्त क्रैश टेस्ट रेटिंग एक अहम फैक्टर बन गई है, खासकर कॉम्पैक्ट SUV सेगमेंट में, जहां ग्राहक सुरक्षा को काफी महत्व देते हैं। नई Bharat NCAP रिपोर्ट से पता चलता है कि टेस्ट किए गए Tata Punch EV फेसलिफ्ट ने नियंत्रित क्रैश परिस्थितियों में एडल्ट और चाइल्ड पैसेंजर्स की सुरक्षा के मामले में अच्छा प्रदर्शन किया है।

हालांकि, सिर्फ 5-स्टार रेटिंग को हर स्थिति में सुरक्षा की गारंटी नहीं माना जाना जा सकता है। क्रैश के नतीजे गाड़ी की रफ्तार, टक्कर किस जगह लगी, सड़क की हालत और इस बात पर निर्भर कर सकते हैं कि गाड़ी में बैठे लोगों ने सीटबेल्ट पहनी है या नहीं।

वहीं, इलेक्ट्रिक SUV खरीदने वाले ग्राहकों के लिए Bharat NCAP की यह रिपोर्ट एक भरोसेमंद सुरक्षा मानक के रूप में मददगार हो सकती है। हालांकि, कार खरीदने से पहले ग्राहकों को कीमत, फीचर्स, मेंटेनेंस खर्च, रनिंग कॉस्ट और आफ्टर-सेल्स सर्विस जैसे पहलुओं पर भी ध्यान देना चाहिए।

Maruti Brezza new vs old models compared

Four years after replacing the Vitara Brezza, the ‘Brezza’ nameplate has received its first lifecycle update. With this, the 2026 Maruti Brezza offers buyers a multitude of new features and styling tweaks that the brand hopes will keep its compact SUV competitive among segment rivals that include the Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, Skoda Kylaq and Tata Nexon. Having said that, let’s find out the main differences between the new Maruti Suzuki Brezza and its predecessor.

Maruti Brezza new vs old: Exterior design

Changes on the outside are mostly limited to the soft parts

To help differentiate the 2026 Brezza from the old model, Maruti Suzuki has given it a few noticeable styling tweaks. For starters, there’s a new grille at the front and it’s finished in dark chrome. The front bumper has been redesigned as well, and it comes with an additional silver plastic garnish. Maruti has also re-done the front fog-lamp design. The LED units now sit inside a cone-shaped housing and have been moved further up the bumper compared to the old Brezza.

Along the sides, the 2026 Brezza features new 16-inch alloy wheels with a two-tone finish and dual-tone body cladding. The rest of the styling details remain identical to the old model. Maruti has done away with the Brave Khakhi and Exuberant Blue mono-tone colours, replacing them with Vivacious Orange and Lustrous Beige tones. The Sizzling Red with Bluish Black Roof dual-tone colour remains, but the other two options are now Lustrous Beige and Pearl Arctic White with the same ‘Blueish Black’ roof. The rear of the 2026 Brezza looks largely similar to the old model. Finally, the new Brezza Turbo gets red accents all around and different door cladding, along with ‘Turbo Boosterjet’ branding.

Few styling tweaks and new features add to this interior’s overall appeal

The overall design and layout of the Maruti Brezza’s interior hasn’t changed with the 2026 facelift. However, some of the tweaks that the brand has made are quite easy to spot. The first amongst these is the new 10.1-inch touchscreen head unit, which features the Suzuki SmartPlay Pro X infotainment system. For reference, the previous mode’s SmartPlay Pro+ system came with a 9-inch touchscreen. The silver-coloured plastic trim on the dashboard and doors in the old Brezza have given way to gloss-black trim in the 2026 model. These look nice and premium but are a magnet for fingerprints and scratches.

Further down the centre stack, the Brezza facelift gets a new HVAC panel with physical, piano-style keys and a single rotary dial – this has been borrowed from the Victoris. Although stylish to look at, it no longer has a dedicated display to show the temperature and blower speed – these have been moved to the infotainment screen. The climate control does get a PM2.5 filter with an AQI display now, though.

While the design of the steering wheel and instrument cluster remain unchanged, the Brezza now gets suction-type front-seat ventilation, 64-colour ambient lighting, dual-tone part-leatherette seats, Suzuki Navigation built-in, and new driver-assistance features like safe-exit warning, blind-spot warning, lane-departure alert and rear cross-traffic alert.

Maruti Brezza new vs old: Engine and gearbox

Differences between the old and new Brezza are more than skin-deep

Maruti has carried over the K15C four-cylinder petrol engine with the automatic engine stop-start system from the pre-facelift Brezza. In the 2026 Brezza, this 1.5-litre mill continues to produce 103hp and 139Nm. In its CNG avatar as well, the Brezza facelift’s engine output of 88hp and 122Nm remains the same as the old model. However, the difference with the new model is that it gets underbody CNG tanks, which don’t eat up boot space.

The other difference between the 2026 Maruti Brezza and its predecessor is the inclusion of a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine with direct injection. Also used in the Fronx, this ‘Boosterjet’ powerplant has been retuned for the Brezza, so it now makes 110hp and 170Nm. The Turbo and CNG versions are only offered with the new 6-speed manual gearbox, which replaces the old 5-speed unit. Meanwhile, the naturally aspirated engine can be paired with the 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission, which was available with the pre-facelift model as well.

The step up from a 5-speed manual gearbox to a 6-speed unit also means that the 2026 Brezza offers better fuel economy. The pre-facelift Brezza with the naturally aspirated engine and manual gearbox had a claimed mileage of up to 17.80kpl, while its 2026 equivalent claims a figure of up to 21.09kpl. The 2026 Brezza CNG also has a higher claimed fuel economy of 26.90km/kg, where the old model’s was 25.51km/kg. Maruti claims that the new Turbo variants of the Brezza have a fuel economy of up to 20.47kpl.

Maruti Brezza new vs old: Prices

Despite the various updates and additions that the 2026 Maruti Brezza gets over its predecessor, its new Turbo version starts at an introductory price of Rs 7.40 lakh. This is lower than the base price of the pre-facelift model, which started at Rs 8.26 lakh. The 1.0-litre engine of the new Turbo variants make them eligible for higher tax breaks – the old Brezza’s 1.5-litre engine didn’t allow for this. That said, Maruti Suzuki is yet to disclose the prices of the rest of the variants of the 2026 Brezza.
