Yamaha confirms that R6 production will end soon

The Yamaha R6 has been around for 27 years, having debuted in 1999 and it has gone on to be one of the most iconic and recognizable sportbikes of all time. While it went off sale as a road bike in 2021 once the Euro 5 emission norms came in, it was still offered as a track only model for the last five years. However, Yamaha Japan has now announced that it will finally pull the plug on this middleweight icon.

According to a press release issued by Yamaha Japan, deliveries for a track only model called the “Yamaha R6 Race Base Model” will begin in February 2027. To secure one of these bikes, customers will have to reserve the bike in one of two purchase windows. The first opened on July 1 2026 and will close on 31 July 2026. A second reservation window will then open on 1 August 2026 before closing on the last day of the same month.

After these windows close, buyers in Japan will no longer be able to purchase the R6. As for customers in Europe and other select markets where the R6 Race is offered, the bike is likely to be available as long as stocks last.

The R6 Race Base Model has no road legal requirements like lights and number plates and it uses the same 599cc inline four cylinder engine as the road bike. The bike also features the same front suspension and braking set up from the bigger R1.

Sadly, Yamaha never launched the R6 in India, but enthusiasts have Kawasaki to thank for continuing to be the only Japanese manufacturer to sell a proper 600cc supersport in our market. The Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R has survived the latest emissions regulations and continues to be available in India, currently priced at Rs 12.49 lakh (ex-showroom, India).

JSW MG Motor ties up with Spinny for used EV retail

Used car platform Spinny has finalised a commercial partnership with JSW MG Motor India to establish a structured secondary market ecosystem for pre-owned electric vehicles (EVs). The collaboration is designed to counter common barriers in secondary EV transactions, particularly consumer uncertainty surrounding real-time battery degradation, residual valuation transparency, and long-term diagnostic verification.

What does the partnership entail? 

Under the terms of the agreement, Spinny will introduce specialised EV evaluation protocols across its network, utilising technical inputs from JSW MG Motor India. The inspection framework focuses on standardised battery health assessment and certification processes intended to provide clearer valuation metrics for both buyers and sellers. The program will initially roll out across major urban centres, including Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi NCR, Hyderabad, Kochi, Mumbai, Pune, Jaipur, Ahmedabad, Kolkata, Lucknow, Chandigarh, and Coimbatore.

The transaction pipeline allows consumers to list and purchase certified pre-owned MG electric models—such as the Comet EV, Windsor EV, and ZS EV—directly through Spinny’s digital platform and physical car hubs. Vehicles processed through this channel will feature a 200-point inspection check, OEM warranty continuity, fixed pricing assurance, and a five-day money-back window. The reconditioned units will undergo technical refurbishment at Spinny’s network of Integrated Restoration Centres, which are being upgraded with specialised EV diagnostic tooling and battery restoration workflows.

Vinay Raina, Chief Commercial Officer at JSW MG Motor India, stated that developing a reliable pre-owned framework is critical for the brand as it expands its new energy vehicle portfolio in the country. Niraj Singh, Founder and CEO of Spinny, noted that establishing structural transparency in battery diagnostics is essential to building secondary market transaction volume.

India Weather Update: भारतीय मौसम विज्ञान विभाग (IMD) ने देश में मॉनसून के तेजी से आगे बढ़ने के साथ ही भारी बारिश और आंधी-तूफान को लेकर एक बड़ा और विस्तृत अलर्ट जारी किया है। मौसम विभाग के ताजा बुलेटिन के मुताबिक दक्षिण-पश्चिम मॉनसून 7 जुलाई गुजरात के बचे हुए हिस्सों और राजस्थान व हरियाणा के कुछ और इलाकों में आगे बढ़ चुका है। मौसम वैज्ञानिकों का कहना है कि अगले 2 से 3 दिनों के भीतर मॉनसून के उत्तरी अरब सागर, राजस्थान, हरियाणा और पंजाब के बाकी हिस्सों को कवर करते हुए पूरे देश में दस्तक देने के लिए परिस्थितियां बेहद अनुकूल बनी हुई हैं। इस बीच उत्तर छत्तीसगढ़ और उसके आसपास सक्रिय रहा डिप्रेशन अब कमजोर होकर पूर्वी मध्य प्रदेश के ऊपर एक वेल-मार्कड लो प्रेशर एरिया के रूप में बना हुआ है। यह सिस्टम धीरे-धीरे पश्चिम-उत्तर-पश्चिम की ओर बढ़ेगा, जिससे देश के बड़े हिस्से में 13 जुलाई तक मूसलाधार बारिश, आकाशीय बिजली गिरने और आंधी-तूफान का दौर जारी रहेगा।

इन राज्यों में अत्यंत भारी बारिश का रेड अलर्ट

मौसम विभाग के अनुसार कुछ राज्यों में आज आफत की बारिश हो सकती है। उप-हिमालयी पश्चिम बंगाल और सिक्किम में 8 जुलाई को जबकि कोंकण, मध्य महाराष्ट्र और गुजरात राज्य में आज अलग-अलग स्थानों पर अत्यंत भारी बारिश होने की आशंका है। इसके साथ ही दक्षिण भारत के केरल और कर्नाटक में भी आज अत्यंत भारी बारिश का अलर्ट जारी किया गया है।

देश भर के राज्यों का विस्तृत और क्षेत्रीय पूर्वानुमान

उत्तर-पश्चिम भारत: यूपी, दिल्ली-NCR और पंजाब-हरियाणा का हाल

  • उत्तर प्रदेश: पश्चिमी उत्तर प्रदेश में 7 से 10 जुलाई के दौरान व्यापक बारिश होगी और कुछ स्थानों पर भारी बारिश का अनुमान है। पूर्वी उत्तर प्रदेश में 11 से 13 जुलाई के बीच बारिश की गतिविधि तेजी से बढ़ेगी जहां 11 और 12 जुलाई को बहुत भारी बारिश होने की संभावना जताई गई है। इसके अलावा 7 जुलाई को पश्चिमी यूपी में 40-50 किमी प्रति घंटे और पूर्वी यूपी में 30-40 किमी प्रति घंटे की रफ्तार से तेज हवाएं चलने और बिजली चमकने का अलर्ट है।
  • दिल्ली, हरियाणा और पंजाब: दिल्ली-NCR, हरियाणा, चंडीगढ़ और पंजाब में 7 से 9 जुलाई के बीच व्यापक रूप से बारिश होगी। इन क्षेत्रों में 7-9 जुलाई और फिर 11-12 जुलाई को अलग-अलग स्थानों पर भारी बारिश होने का पूर्वानुमान है। 10 से 13 जुलाई के बीच यहां छिटपुट बारिश दर्ज की जा सकती है।
  • जम्मू-कश्मीर और लद्दाख: जम्मू-कश्मीर-लद्दाख-गिलगित-बाल्टिस्तान-मुजफ्फराबाद में 7 से 12 जुलाई के बीच व्यापक बारिश होगी जबकि 13 जुलाई को छिटपुट बारिश के आसार हैं। यहां 7 और 8 जुलाई को भारी बारिश और आकाशीय बिजली कड़कने के साथ ही 40-50 किमी प्रति घंटे की रफ्तार से तेज हवाएं चल सकती हैं।
  • हिमाचल प्रदेश और उत्तराखंड: दोनों पहाड़ी राज्यों में 7 से 13 जुलाई तक लगातार व्यापक बारिश का दौर जारी रहेगा। हिमाचल और उत्तराखंड में 7 जुलाई को बहुत भारी बारिश, जबकि 8 से 13 जुलाई के दौरान अलग-अलग हिस्सों में भारी बारिश होने की संभावना है।
  • राजस्थान: पूर्वी राजस्थान में 8-9 जुलाई को व्यापक और बहुत भारी बारिश हो सकती है। पश्चिमी राजस्थान में 7 से 13 जुलाई तक छिटपुट से लेकर भारी बारिश का दौर जारी रहेगा। इस दौरान राजस्थान के दोनों हिस्सों में 40-50 किमी प्रति घंटे की रफ्तार से झोंकेदार हवाएं चलने की चेतावनी है।

मध्य भारत: मध्य प्रदेश और छत्तीसगढ़ में भारी बारिश की चेतावनी

मध्य प्रदेश: पश्चिमी मध्य प्रदेश में 7 से 9 जुलाई तक और पूर्वी मध्य प्रदेश में 7 से 11 जुलाई के दौरान व्यापक बारिश होगी। दोनों हिस्सों में 7 से 9 जुलाई के बीच अलग-अलग स्थानों पर बहुत भारी बारिश होने की प्रबल संभावना है। इसके बाद 10 से 12 जुलाई को भी पूर्वी मध्य प्रदेश में भारी बारिश जारी रहेगी।

छत्तीसगढ़ और विदर्भ: छत्तीसगढ़ में 7 और 13 जुलाई को व्यापक बारिश होगी और 7 जुलाई को भारी बारिश का अलर्ट है। विदर्भ में 7 से 9 जुलाई और फिर 13 जुलाई को व्यापक बारिश होगी जहां 7 जुलाई को बहुत भारी और 8 जुलाई को भारी बारिश का अनुमान लगाया गया है। इन सभी क्षेत्रों में 7 जुलाई को बिजली चमकने की आशंका है।

पूर्वी भारत: बिहार और झारखंड में आंधी-तूफान के साथ मूसलाधार बरसात

बिहार: बिहार में 7 और 10 जुलाई को व्यापक रूप से बारिश होने की संभावना है जबकि 10 जुलाई को राज्य के कुछ हिस्सों में बहुत भारी बारिश का अलर्ट जारी किया गया है। 7, 8 और 11 जुलाई को भी कुछ स्थानों पर भारी बारिश हो सकती है। 8 से 13 जुलाई के दौरान बिहार में 30-40 किमी प्रति घंटे की रफ्तार से आंधी और बिजली गिरने की भी चेतावनी है।

झारखंड: झारखंड में 7-8 जुलाई और 10-13 जुलाई के दौरान व्यापक बारिश होने का अनुमान है। 7 जुलाई को यहां भारी बारिश की संभावना है। इसके साथ ही 7 से 11 जुलाई तक राज्य में 40-50 किमी प्रति घंटे की रफ्तार से तेज हवाएं चलने और वज्रपात का येलो अलर्ट रहेगा।

पश्चिम बंगाल और ओडिशा: उप-हिमालयी पश्चिम बंगाल और सिक्किम में 7 से 13 जुलाई तक भारी से बहुत भारी बारिश का दौर लगातार जारी रहेगा जिसमें 8 जुलाई को अत्यंत भारी बारिश का अलर्ट है। गांगेय पश्चिम बंगाल और ओडिशा में भी 13 जुलाई तक गरज-चमक और 30-50 किमी प्रति घंटे की तेज हवाओं के साथ भारी बारिश दर्ज की जा सकती है।

अंडमान और निकोबार: यहां 11 से 13 जुलाई के बीच भारी बारिश होगी, जबकि 7 से 9 जुलाई के दौरान तेज सतही हवाएं (30-40 किमी प्रति घंटे) चलेंगी।

पूर्वोत्तर भारत: असम और अरुणाचल में आफत बनेगी बारिश

अरुणाचल प्रदेश: यहां 7 से 11 जुलाई तक व्यापक बारिश होगी जिसमें 7 से 10 जुलाई के दौरान बहुत भारी बारिश और 11 जुलाई को भारी बारिश होने का अनुमान है।

असम और मेघालय: इन राज्यों में 7 से 12 जुलाई तक व्यापक बारिश जारी रहेगी। मौसम विभाग ने 7 से 9 जुलाई के बीच बहुत भारी बारिश और 10 से 13 जुलाई के बीच भारी बारिश की आशंका जताई है।

नागालैंड, मणिपुर, मिजोरम और त्रिपुरा: इन चारों राज्यों में 7 से 13 जुलाई तक व्यापक बारिश होने और 7 से 10 जुलाई के बीच अलग-अलग स्थानों पर भारी बारिश होने का पूर्वानुमान जारी किया गया है।

पश्चिमी भारत: कोंकण और गुजरात में 70 किमी की रफ्तार से तूफानी हवाएं

कोंकण और गोवा: यहां 7 से 13 जुलाई तक लगातार व्यापक से बहुत व्यापक बारिश होगी। 7 जुलाई को अत्यंत भारी और 8 जुलाई को बहुत भारी बारिश का अलर्ट है। साथ ही 7 जुलाई को 50-60 किमी प्रति घंटे (झोंके 70 किमी प्रति घंटे) की रफ्तार से भयानक आंधी-तूफान आ सकता है।

गुजरात क्षेत्र: गुजरात में 7 से 9 जुलाई के दौरान व्यापक बारिश होगी जिसमें 7 जुलाई को अत्यंत भारी और 8 जुलाई को बहुत भारी बारिश की संभावना है। गुजरात क्षेत्र में 7 से 9 जुलाई के बीच 50-60 किमी प्रति घंटे की रफ्तार से थंडरस्कॉल चलने की चेतावनी है।

मध्य महाराष्ट्र और मारथवाड़ा: मध्य महाराष्ट्र में 7-8 जुलाई को भारी से अत्यंत भारी बारिश और आकाशीय बिजली चमकने का अलर्ट है।

दक्षिण प्रायद्वीपीय भारत: केरल और कर्नाटक में मूसलाधार बारिश का कहर

केरल और लक्षद्वीप: केरल में 7 से 11 जुलाई तक व्यापक बारिश होगी जिसमें आज (7 जुलाई) अत्यंत भारी बारिश होने की आशंका है। केरल, लक्षद्वीप और तटीय आंध्र प्रदेश में 7 से 9 जुलाई के दौरान 40-50 किमी प्रति घंटे की रफ्तार से आंधी और बिजली चमकने के साथ मजबूत सतही हवाएं चलने का अनुमान है।

तेलंगाना और तमिल नाडु: तेलंगाना में 7-8 जुलाई को 50-60 किमी प्रति घंटे की रफ्तार से थंडरस्कॉल और 7 से 10 जुलाई तक तेज सतही हवाएं चलने का अलर्ट है। तमिल नाडु, पुडुचेरी और कराइकल में 8-9 जुलाई को तेज आंधी-तूफान आने की आशंका व्यक्त की गई है।

मौसम विभाग की सलाह: भारी बारिश, वज्रपात (आकाशीय बिजली) और 70 किमी प्रति घंटे तक की रफ्तार से चलने वाली तूफानी हवाओं को देखते हुए मौसम विभाग ने लोगों को जलभराव वाले इलाकों से दूर रहने, कमजोर संरचनाओं के पास न जाने और यात्रा के दौरान विशेष सावधानी बरतने की सलाह दी है।

Earlier this year, Renault revived the Duster to mark its re-entry into the mid-size SUV space. Powering the SUV is a pair of turbo-petrol engines of either 1.0-litre or 1.3-litre in capacity. We’ve extensively tested and compared the real-world mileage figures of both turbo-petrol engines in manual transmission guise to determine how much of a gap there is in their efficiency.

The Duster’s 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine is essentially the same unit that’s utilised in the Kiger. It develops an identical 100hp, but torque is slightly bumped to 166Nm (from 160Nm). This engine is the least powerful turbo-petrol unit in the segment. In contrast, the 163hp, 280Nm 1.3-litre turbo-petrol engine is the most powerful in the segment. A 6-speed manual gearbox is standard on both engines, while a 6-speed DCT is offered on the 1.3-litre mill as well. The smaller 1.0-litre engine translates into a 56kg lighter kerb weight. Both versions get an identical 50-litre fuel tank.

In the city, it was the 1.3-litre mill that was more frugal by a mere 0.48kpl. This is because of its ability to shift less frequently, due to its taller gearing. Both engines come with an Eco driving mode along with an auto start/stop function. But during the 1.0-litre units testing, high temperatures forced the AC to work harder, and auto start/stop only worked briefly, affecting city fuel efficiency. On the highway, however, the 1.0-litre unit was more efficient by 0.74kpl. Overall, the Duster 1.0’s average fuel efficiency was slightly higher at 10.98kpl in comparison to the 1.3’s 10.64kpl. The 0.34kpl gap in real-world average figures is much less in contrast to the 1.66kpl difference considering their respective ARAI-claimed figures

The Duster with the 1.0-litre engine has a more affordable price range as it’s offered from the base to the mid-level trims. Meanwhile, the 1.3-litre’s availability from the one above the base trim and exclusively on the top-end trim makes it comparatively pricier. Going for the 1.3 over the 1.0 within the same trim will set you back by up to Rs 1.3 lakh.

Before our real-world fuel-efficiency tests, we fill our test cars’ tanks to the brim and maintain tyre pressures based on the manufacturer’s recommendations. These cars are driven in fixed city and highway loops in and around Navi Mumbai, and we maintain certain average speeds. Throughout the tests, there is only one person in each car, operating the air conditioner and other electricals, such as the audio system, indicators and wipers, when required, just like a regular user would. Periodic driver swaps further neutralise variations in driver patterns. At the end of each cycle, we calculate efficiency by filling the tanks to full again.

मेडिकल इमरजेंसी में सबसे बड़ी जरूरत होती है समय पर इलाज और अस्पताल तक जल्दी पहुंचना। लेकिन कई बार एम्बुलेंस की उपलब्धता और उसका भारी किराया मरीज के परिवार के लिए नई परेशानी खड़ी कर देता है। हाल ही में गुरुग्राम की एक महिला ने सोशल मीडिया पर अपना ऐसा अनुभव साझा किया, जिसने हजारों लोगों का ध्यान खींचा। उन्होंने बताया कि एक आपात स्थिति के दौरान उन्हें ऐसी सेवा मिली, जिसने न सिर्फ समय बचाया बल्कि आर्थिक बोझ भी कम कर दिया। उनका वीडियो देखते ही देखते वायरल हो गया और लोग इस पहल की जमकर तारीफ करने लगे।

कई यूजर्स ने भी अपने अनुभव साझा करते हुए बताया कि समय पर मिली मदद ने मुश्किल घड़ी में बड़ी राहत दी। इस घटना ने एक बार फिर इमरजेंसी सेवाओं की अहमियत और उनकी पहुंच को लेकर नई चर्चा छेड़ दी।

एम्बुलेंस के लिए मांगे गए 10 से 15 हजार रुपये

कंटेंट क्रिएटर कोमल खंडेलवाल के मुताबिक, बुजुर्ग महिला को तुरंत अस्पताल पहुंचाना जरूरी था। लेकिन जब उन्होंने अलग-अलग एम्बुलेंस सेवाओं से संपर्क किया तो 10 हजार से 15 हजार रुपये तक का किराया बताया गया।

ऐसे मुश्किल समय में परिवार के सामने इलाज के साथ-साथ एम्बुलेंस का खर्च भी बड़ी चिंता बन गया।

तभी सामने आया Blinkit का फ्री एम्बुलेंस विकल्प

इसी दौरान किसी ने सुझाव दिया कि Blinkit के जरिए एम्बुलेंस बुक की जा सकती है। परिवार ने तुरंत इस सेवा का इस्तेमाल किया और कुछ ही समय में एम्बुलेंस मौके पर पहुंच गई।

कोमल ने बताया कि इस सेवा के लिए उनसे कोई शुल्क नहीं लिया गया, जिससे समय पर मरीज को अस्पताल पहुंचाने में मदद मिली।

‘यह किसी फाइव स्टार एम्बुलेंस से कम नहीं थी’

वीडियो में कोमल ने एम्बुलेंस की सुविधाओं की भी तारीफ की। उनके मुताबिक इसमें मरीज को ले जाने के लिए स्ट्रेचर, व्हीलचेयर, जरूरी मेडिकल उपकरण, दवाइयां और प्रशिक्षित मेडिकल स्टाफ मौजूद था।

उन्होंने मजाकिया अंदाज में इसे “फाइव स्टार एम्बुलेंस” तक कह दिया।

Blinkit से की खास अपील

कोमल ने वीडियो में Blinkit का धन्यवाद करते हुए कहा कि कंपनी को यह सेवा हमेशा मुफ्त रखनी चाहिए।

उनका कहना था कि हर व्यक्ति के पास अचानक मेडिकल इमरजेंसी में हजारों रुपये खर्च करने की क्षमता नहीं होती। अगर किसी के पास पैसे न हों, तो सिर्फ इसी वजह से उसकी जान खतरे में नहीं पड़नी चाहिए।

सोशल मीडिया पर लोगों ने की जमकर तारीफ

वीडियो वायरल होने के बाद कई लोगों ने अपने अनुभव भी साझा किए।

एक यूजर ने लिखा कि Blinkit की यह पहल शानदार है और जरूरतमंद लोगों के लिए बड़ी मदद साबित हो सकती है।

एक अन्य यूजर ने बताया कि उन्होंने सड़क हादसे में घायल एक व्यक्ति के लिए Blinkit से एम्बुलेंस बुक की थी, जो बिना किसी शुल्क के बहुत जल्दी पहुंच गई।

वहीं एक अन्य व्यक्ति ने बताया कि सुबह 5 बजे दवा ऑर्डर करने के बाद Blinkit की ओर से डॉक्टर का कॉल आया, जिसने उनकी तबीयत के बारे में जानकारी ली। इस पहल को भी लोगों ने काफी सराहा।

कुछ लोगों ने सरकार से भी उठाए सवाल

जहां बड़ी संख्या में लोगों ने Blinkit की तारीफ की, वहीं कुछ यूजर्स ने सवाल उठाया कि ऐसी बुनियादी सुविधाएं निजी कंपनियों के बजाय सरकार की ओर से आसानी से उपलब्ध होनी चाहिए।

उनका कहना था कि इमरजेंसी एम्बुलेंस जैसी सेवाएं हर नागरिक तक सुलभ और किफायती होना जरूरी है।

वीडियो पर मिली तारीफ के बाद Blinkit ने भी कमेंट सेक्शन में प्रतिक्रिया दी और दिल वाले इमोजी के साथ यूजर्स का आभार जताया।

इस घटना ने एक बार फिर दिखाया कि सही समय पर मिली मदद किसी की जिंदगी बचाने में कितनी अहम भूमिका निभा सकती है।

Prices of select variants of the Victoris SUV have been reduced by Rs 39,000. This comes after the Maruti Victoris crossed the 1 lakh sales milestone in June, a feat the manufacturer said was achieved in just 8 months, faster than the Grand Vitara. In fact, the Victoris has been clocking over 10,000 sales per month in 2026, and a price reduction is expected to boost sales.

As the table suggests, prices of the ZXi (O) MT, ZXi (O) AT, ZXi+ (O) MT, and ZXi+ (O) AT have been reduced by Rs 39,000. Since these (O) variants add a panoramic sunroof over their standard counterparts, buyers can now get a Victoris with a panoramic sunroof at a more affordable price. The price range of Victoris variants with a naturally aspirated petrol engine, however, is unchanged.

Electric scooter and bike sales cross 1 million units in 2026 so far

The Indian electric two-wheeler industry has surpassed 1 million unit sales as of July 6 this year. As per the latest data on the Vahan portal, a record 10,05,279 e-scooters, motorcycles and mopeds have been sold between January 1 and July 6 this year. This marks a handsome YoY increase of 54 percent (January 1-July 6, 2025: 6,54,592 units) and daily sales of 5,375 units.

As the six-month retail sales data table above depicts, 2026 opened with 1,29,265 units in January, dropping 8 percent MoM in February (1,18,408 units). March saw retails jump 68 percent MoM to 1,99,393 units, which remains the highest monthly total yet for the industry. As a result, Q1 2026 (4,47,066 units) registered YoY growth of 39 percent (Q1 2025: 3,21,520 units). Sales rose higher in Q2 2026 (5,24,335 units) which was a 17 percent increase over Q1 and a 68 percent jump YoY (Q1 2025: 3,12,070 units) due to the sharp spike in sales in April (1,57,619 units, up 63 percent), May (194,196 units, up 64 percent) and June (1,94,186 units, up 75 percent).

Retail sales in May 2026, particularly from the second half, got a boost from the sharp increase in the price of petrol and a market dynamic that saw a fair number of two-wheeler buyers go electric to save money on costly petrol. Starting May 15, oil marketing companies implemented four hikes in petrol price in a span of 10 days. So far, fuel prices remain unchanged (as of July 7) and are enabling a higher level of transition to electric mobility across passenger and commercial vehicle segments.

Top brands on track to clock highest-ever annual sales

TVS, Bajaj Auto, Ather Energy and Vida have already achieved more than 80 percent of their record annual sales in 2025 already in 2026 so far.

The e-2W segment’s stellar growth this year is being driven by its Top 10 movers and shakers, with the bulk of them set to register their highest calendar year retail sales in CY2026. Combined sales of these 10 OEMs, at 9,39,894 units, gives them a 93 percent share of the 1-million retails to date, leaving the remaining 7 percent to be fought out by the other 16 players in the segment.

Market leader TVS Motor Co has sold 2,60,938 iQube and Orbiter scooters till July 6 and accounts for a 26 percent share of the 1 million sales. This total is already 83 percent of its 2025 sales of 3,15,085 units which means TVS is well set to surpass the 5 lakh units annual sales milestone for the first time in 2026.

Bajaj Auto, with 2,25,960 units and 22 percent share, is the closest challenger to TVS. The manufacturer of the Chetak has achieved 81 percent of its 2025 sales (2,79,687 units). It should cross the 3 lakh units annual sales mark by mid-August and then go on to surpass 4 lakh unit sales by the end of the year. It will be achieving both these milestones for the first time in a calendar year.

Ather Energy, the firm No. 3, is also on a roll this year. The company has delivered 1,74,677 units between January 1-July 6, which gives it a 17 percent share of the million units and constitute 81 percent of its 2025 sales (2,14,984 units). Given the strong growth momentum for its products, particularly the Rizta and the potential of its upcoming more affordable EL-platform based products, Ather should likely go on to surpass 3.50 lakh units this year.

Hero MotoCorp (Vida) will, for the first time, achieve the 2 lakh unit annual sales milestone for its EVs. The 1,09,306 e-scooters sold till date are 97 percent of its 2025 total (1,13,024 units) and give the company an 11 percent share of all e-2Ws sold in the year to date.

Ola Electric has delivered 68,148 e-scooters and e-motorcycles in the first 187 days of this year. This gives it a 7 percent share of the million units albeit this total is just 33 percent of its sales in 2025 (2,04,526 units). While annual sales will surely cross the 1.25 lakh units mark this year, only a massive resurgence in demand for products from the former market leader will see it hit 1.50 lakh units, far fewer than the top three OEMs – TVS, Bajaj and Ather.

IPO-bound Greaves Electric Mobility, the manufacturer of Ampere e-scooters, has clocked retail sales of 45,240 units in the year to date. This gives it a 5 percent share of the million-unit sales and is 78 percent of its 2025 sales (57,700 units). GEM’s highest annual sales were in 2022 (80,000-plus including Ampere Vehicles).

Bengaluru-based River Mobility, which is witnessing growing demand for its sole product – the River Indie – has already hit a new annual sales high of 22,490 units. This is 5,470 units more than in 2025 (17,020 units) and should see the startup close in on the 50,000 mark in 2026. The company also manufactures the Yamaha EC-06, which is based on the Indie platform.

Eighth-ranked BGauss Auto sold 20,276 units between January and July 6, which gives it a 2 percent share of all-India e-2W sales to date and 80 percent of its 2025 sales (25,131 units).

Scooter maker Simple Energy has sold 7,391 units in the year to date, 763 units more than the 6,628 e-scooters it sold in 2025. Electric motorcycle manufacturer Revolt Motors, with 5,468 units, has achieved 50 percent of its 2025 sales of 11,018 units.

Given that the surging demand for electric scooters and motorcycles continues in H2 this year, the industry is racing towards breaching the 2-million annual sales milestone for the first time. And, considering that e-2Ws constitute the largest volume, they will also help the domestic EV industry to achieve a record 3 million sales this year.

India Weather Today: देश के बड़े हिस्से में मॉनसून का बवाली रूप देखने को मिल रहा है। भारतीय मौसम विज्ञान विभाग (IMD) ने 7 जुलाई को देश के 23 राज्यों और केंद्र शासित प्रदेशों के लिए भारी से अत्यंत भारी बारिश और आंधी-तूफान का हाई अलर्ट जारी किया है। मौसम विभाग के ताजा विश्लेषण के मुताबिक उत्तरी छत्तीसगढ़ और उससे सटे दक्षिण-पूर्व उत्तर प्रदेश व उत्तर-पूर्वी मध्य प्रदेश के ऊपर बना डिप्रेशन अब कमजोर होकर पूर्वी मध्य प्रदेश और उसके आसपास के इलाकों पर एक वेल-मार्कड लो प्रेशर एरिया में बदल चुका है।

मौसम विज्ञानियों के अनुसार, इससे जुड़ा चक्रवातीय परिसंचरण समुद्र तल से 9.6 किमी ऊपर तक फैला हुआ है। इसके अगले 24 घंटों के दौरान मध्य प्रदेश और उससे सटे दक्षिण-पश्चिमी उत्तर प्रदेश के इलाकों में धीरे-धीरे पश्चिम-उत्तर-पश्चिम की ओर बढ़ने और आगे कमजोर होने की संभावना है। इसके साथ ही दक्षिण गुजरात से उत्तरी केरल तट तक ऑफ-शोर ट्रफ और एक अन्य वेदर सिस्टम (शीयर जोन) भी सक्रिय है, जिससे देश के कई हिस्सों में मूसलाधार बारिश का दौर जारी रहेगा।

इन 6 राज्यों में अत्यंत भारी बारिश की चेतावनी

मौसम विभाग ने 7 जुलाई को देश के छह क्षेत्रों के लिए सबसे गंभीर चेतावनी जारी की है। यहां आकाशीय बिजली चमकने के साथ अत्यंत भारी बारिश होने की प्रबल आशंका है:

  • तटीय कर्नाटक
  • गुजरात राज्य
  • कोंकण और गोवा
  • मध्य महाराष्ट्र
  • विदर्भ (महाराष्ट्र)
  • पश्चिमी मध्य प्रदेश

इन इलाकों में भारी से बहुत भारी बारिश के साथ कुछ स्थानों पर रिकॉर्ड तोड़ मूसलाधार बारिश होने से जलभराव और नदी-नालों में उफान जैसे हालात बन सकते हैं।

बिहार, एमपी और राजस्थान में होगी बहुत भारी बारिश

मौसम विभाग के अनुसार, देश के मध्य, पूर्वी और पहाड़ी राज्यों में अलग-अलग स्थानों पर भारी से बहुत भारी बारिश होने का अनुमान है:

बिहार और उप-हिमालयी पश्चिम बंगाल व सिक्किम: पूर्वी भारत के इन हिस्सों में मूसलाधार बारिश का दौर जारी रहेगा। बिहार में बारिश के साथ ही 40-50 किमी प्रति घंटे की रफ्तार से चलने वाली तेज हवाओं और बिजली गिरने की आशंका है।

पूर्वी मध्य प्रदेश और छत्तीसगढ़: लो प्रेशर एरिया के असर की वजह से इन दोनों राज्यों में बहुत भारी बारिश होगी। साथ ही आंधी-तूफान और वज्रपात का अलर्ट रहेगा।

पूर्वी राजस्थान: यहां मॉनसून की सक्रियता के कारण बहुत भारी बारिश होने की संभावना जताई गई है।

हिमाचल प्रदेश: उत्तर भारत के इस पहाड़ी राज्य में भारी से बहुत भारी बारिश से भूस्खलन का खतरा बना रहेगा।

मराठवाड़ा (महाराष्ट्र) और आंतरिक कर्नाटक इन दोनों क्षेत्रों के लिए भी भारी से बहुत भारी बारिश का ऑरेंज अलर्ट जारी किया गया है।

अरुणाचल प्रदेश: पूर्वोत्तर के इस राज्य में भी भारी से बहुत भारी बारिश के साथ बिजली कड़कने की चेतावनी है।

दिल्ली-NCR, यूपी और पंजाब समेत इन राज्यों में भारी बारिश और आंधी

मौसम विभाग ने कई मैदानी और पहाड़ी राज्यों में अलग-अलग स्थानों पर भारी बारिश के साथ ही बिजली चमकने और तेज आंधी का डबल अटैक होने का पूर्वानुमान जताया है-

दिल्ली, हरियाणा और चंडीगढ़: दिल्ली-NCR और हरियाणा के इलाकों में कुछ स्थानों पर भारी बारिश होने की संभावना है।

उत्तर प्रदेश और उत्तराखंड: पश्चिमी उत्तर प्रदेश और उत्तराखंड में भारी बारिश का अलर्ट है। पूरे उत्तर प्रदेश में गरज-चमक के साथ बिजली गिरने और 40-50 किमी प्रति घंटे की रफ्तार से तेज हवाएं चलने के आसार हैं।

पंजाब और पश्चिमी राजस्थान: इन क्षेत्रों में मानसून की सामान्य से भारी बारिश दर्ज की जा सकती है। राजस्थान में भी 40-50 किमी प्रति घंटे की रफ्तार से धूलभरी आंधी चल सकती है।

जम्मू-कश्मीर-लद्दाख-गिलगित-बाल्टिस्तान-मुजफ्फराबाद: इन पहाड़ी इलाकों में भारी बारिश के साथ 40-50 किमी प्रति घंटे की रफ्तार वाली तेज हवाएं और बिजली गिरने की आशंका है।

झारखंड और ओडिशा: चक्रवातीय सिस्टम के प्रभाव से इन राज्यों में भारी बारिश के साथ ही तेज हवाओं (40-50 किमी प्रति घंटे) और बिजली गिरने की चेतावनी है।

दक्षिण और पूर्वोत्तर भारत: केरल और माहे, असम और मेघालय, तथा नागालैंड, मणिपुर, मिजोरम और त्रिपुरा में अलग-अलग स्थानों पर भारी बारिश होने की उम्मीद है। पूर्वोत्तर के राज्यों में बिजली कड़कने का भी अलर्ट है। गंगा के मैदानी पश्चिम बंगाल में भी आंधी-बारिश की चेतावनी है।

कर्नाटक और तेलंगाना में 60 किमी की रफ्तार से थंडरस्कॉल

मौसम विभाग ने दक्षिण भारत के राज्यों के लिए तेज आंधी का विशेष अलर्ट जारी किया है:

कर्नाटक और तेलंगाना: इन दोनों राज्यों में अलग-अलग स्थानों पर 50-60 किलोमीटर प्रति घंटे की रफ्तार से चलने वाले भयानक आंधी-तूफान आने की आशंका है।

मजबूत सतही हवाएं: अंडमान और निकोबार द्वीप समूह, आंध्र प्रदेश, तटीय कर्नाटक, उत्तरी आंतरिक कर्नाटक और तेलंगाना में मजबूत सतही हवाएं चलने का अनुमान है।

समंदर में तूफान: मछुआरों को तटीय इलाकों से दूर रहने की सलाह

अरब सागर और बंगाल की खाड़ी में मौसम बेहद खराब रहने का अनुमान है। कोंकण और गोवा तट पर 60-70 किमी प्रति घंटे की रफ्तार से तूफानी हवाएं चल सकती हैं, जिनकी रफ्तार बढ़कर 80 किमी प्रति घंटे तक पहुंच सकती है। पश्चिम-मध्य, दक्षिण-पश्चिम और उत्तर-पश्चिम अरब सागर में 45-55 किमी प्रति घंटे (झोंके 65 किमी प्रति घंटे) की रफ्तार से हवाएं चलेंगी। दक्षिण गुजरात, कर्नाटक, केरल तटों और लक्षद्वीप क्षेत्र में 40-50 किमी प्रति घंटे (झोंके 60 किमी प्रति घंटे) की गति से तूफानी मौसम रहने के आसार हैं। उत्तर-पश्चिम बंगाल की खाड़ी, पश्चिम बंगाल और उत्तरी ओडिशा के तटों पर 45-55 किमी प्रति घंटे (झोंके 65 किमी प्रति घंटे) की रफ्तार से हवाएं चल सकती हैं। वहीं उत्तरी आंध्र प्रदेश, ओडिशा तटों, और केंद्रीय बंगाल की खाड़ी में 40-50 किमी प्रति घंटे (झोंके 60 किमी प्रति घंटे) की रफ्तार से तूफानी मौसम रहने की आशंका है।

मॉनसून की प्रगति

मॉनसून की उत्तरी सीमा (NLM) फिलहाल जामनगर, उदयपुर, अजमेर, झुंझुनू, हिसार और बठिंडा से होकर गुजर रही है। अगले 3 दिनों के भीतर इसके उत्तर अरब सागर, गुजरात के शेष हिस्सों, हरियाणा, पंजाब और राजस्थान के कुछ और हिस्सों में आगे बढ़ने के लिए परिस्थितियां पूरी तरह अनुकूल हैं।
