The Revolt RVX is the latest addition to the brand’s electric motorcycle lineup and is also its most powerful model yet. It features a new mid-drive motor, a removable battery pack, four riding modes and a suite of connected features. Here are answers to some of the most commonly asked questions about the bike.

What is the price of the Revolt RVX?

The Revolt RVX is priced at Rs 1.30 lakh (ex-showroom, India), but Revolt has described this as an introductory price that is expected to increase in the future. Buyers in Delhi can also take advantage of incentives under the new Delhi EV Policy and the PM E-Drive scheme, bringing the effective ex-showroom price down to Rs 94,990.

What is the range of the Revolt RVX?

The Revolt RVX has a claimed IDC range of 160km on a single charge. It is powered by a 3.24kWh removable battery pack with an IP67 rating for water and dust resistance. The bike uses a 4kW mid-drive permanent magnet synchronous motor with a peak output of 5.3kW and a claimed 230Nm of torque at the rear wheel. Power is transmitted to the rear wheel via a chain drive.

What is the charging time of the Revolt RVX?

Using the standard 10A charger, the Revolt RVX takes 3 hours and 30 minutes to charge from 0 to 80 percent and 4 hours and 45 minutes for a full charge. With the optional 27A fast charger, the 0 to 80 percent charging time drops to 1 hour and 20 minutes.

What is the top speed of the Revolt RVX?

The Revolt RVX has a claimed top speed of 90kph, achievable only in Boost mode. It’s worth noting that Boost mode is available only when motor conditions permit, and the bike automatically reverts to Sport mode when it can no longer sustain the higher performance. In Sport mode, the top speed is limited to 80kph.

What is the seat height and weight of the Revolt RVX?

The Revolt RVX has a seat height of 815mm and a kerb weight of 120kg. It rides on 17-inch alloy wheels at both ends, shod with 90/80-17 front and 110/80-17 rear tubeless tyres, and offers 190mm of ground clearance.

Used Car Study 2026: Hyundai Verna holds its value best among midsize sedans

Conducted in association with Spinny, India’s leading pre-owned car platform, the fourth edition of our Used Car Study analyses real-world resale values across a broad spectrum of vehicles sold in the Indian market to assess depreciation trends over a five-year ownership period. The study is based on actual transactional data shared by Spinny for vehicles sold between January 1 and August 31, 2025.

In this part of the resale value study series, we take a look at the midsize sedan segment:

The Hyundai Verna petrol-manual displays the most stable depreciation curve among midsize sedans. Strong demand, modern styling and a well-rounded ownership experience appear to have positively influenced its used-market appeal. In contrast, five-year-old examples of the Honda City petrol-manual are currently trading at nearly half their original on-road prices. 

Between the two European rivals, the Volkswagen Virtus appears to retain value marginally better than the mechanically identical Skoda Slavia. Meanwhile, one-year-old and three-year-old examples of the now-discontinued Maruti Ciaz seem to hold its value relatively better than other midsize sedans of the same age.  

As per the study, the average selling price of a five-year-old midsize sedan retailed through Spinny was Rs 9.38 lakh. Comparable figures for three-year-old and one-year-old midsize sedans were Rs 11.25 lakh and Rs 12.95 lakh, respectively. Average depreciation over the same periods worked out to 43 percent, 34.8 percent and 24.8 percent, respectively.

Autocar-Spinny resale value study methodology 

The analysis covers the average selling prices (ASPs) of vehicles retailed through Spinny’s network across nine cities – Delhi-NCR, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Pune, Chennai, Mumbai, Lucknow, Ahmedabad and Kolkata.

For the purposes of this study, depreciation has been defined as the percentage difference between a vehicle’s original on-road price in its year of manufacture and its resale value in 2025. In instances where a model was offered with multiple engine options using the same fuel type, the data has been consolidated and averaged. Variant-wise differences have similarly been averaged out.

Discontinued models and powertrain options have been excluded. Additionally, premium vehicles priced above Rs 30 lakh, electric vehicles and certain low-volume models have not been included due to limited transaction data and insufficient sample sizes.

Monsoon Heavy Rain Alert: मौसम विभाग(IMD) के मुताबिक, उत्तर-पश्चिम बंगाल की खाड़ी और उससे सटे उत्तरी ओडिशा-पश्चिम बंगाल के तटों पर आज सुबह 08:30 बजे एक कम दबाव का क्षेत्र बन गया है। इसके अगले 2-3 दिनों में और अधिक मजबूत होने की संभावना है। मानसून की मुख्य ट्रफ लाइन इस समय उत्तर-पश्चिम राजस्थान से लेकर बंगाल की खाड़ी में बने इस लो-प्रेशर एरिया के केंद्र तक गुजर रही है। दक्षिण गुजरात से लेकर कर्नाटक तट तक एक अपतटीय ट्रफ भी सक्रिय है। इन मजबूत प्रणालियों के कारण देश भर में मूसलाधार बारिश का दौर शुरू हो गया है।

इन क्षेत्रों में अत्यधिक भारी बारिश की चेतावनी

आईएमडी ने चेतावनी दी है कि कुछ राज्यों में अलग-अलग स्थानों पर अत्यधिक भारी बारिश हो सकती है, जिससे बाढ़ जैसी स्थिति बन सकती है:-

दक्षिण गुजरात क्षेत्र और कोंकण: 2 से 5 जुलाई के दौरान अत्यधिक भारी बारिश का अलर्ट।

सौराष्‍ट्र और कच्‍छ: 2 से 4 जुलाई के बीच अत्यधिक भारी बारिश की संभावना।

पश्चिम मध्य प्रदेश और ओडिशा: 3 और 4 जुलाई को मूसलाधार से अत्यधिक भारी बारिश की आशंका।

मध्य महाराष्ट्र: 3 से 5 जुलाई के दौरान अलग-अलग स्थानों पर अत्यधिक भारी बारिश की चेतावनी।

क्षेत्रवार मौसम का पूरा पूर्वानुमान और अलर्ट (2 से 8 जुलाई 2026)

1- उत्तर-पश्चिम भारत (दिल्ली, यूपी, हरियाणा, पंजाब और पहाड़ी राज्य)

दिल्ली, हरियाणा, चंडीगढ़ और पंजाब: 2 जुलाई को व्यापक बारिश के बाद 3-4 जुलाई को हल्की से छिटपुट बारिश होगी लेकिन 5 से 8 जुलाई के बीच एक बार फिर यहां भारी बारिश का नया दौर शुरू होगा। 2 जुलाई को पंजाब और दिल्ली-एनसीआर में भारी बारिश दर्ज की गई है।

उत्तर प्रदेश: पश्चिमी यूपी में 2 से 7 जुलाई के बीच और पूर्वी यूपी में 2 से 8 जुलाई के बीच अलग-अलग स्थानों पर भारी बारिश की संभावना है। वहीं 3-4 जुलाई को दोनों क्षेत्रों में गरज-चमक की स्थिति रहेगी।

उत्तराखंड और हिमाचल प्रदेश: उत्तराखंड में 2 से 8 जुलाई तक लगातार व्यापक बारिश होगी। 2-3 जुलाई को बहुत भारी और 4-8 जुलाई को भारी बारिश का अलर्ट है। हिमाचल में 2-3 जुलाई और 5-6 जुलाई को बहुत भारी बारिश का अनुमान है।

जम्मू-कश्मीर-लद्दाख: 2-3 जुलाई और 7-8 जुलाई को व्यापक बारिश के साथ भारी बारिश हो सकती है।

राजस्थान: पूर्वी राजस्थान में 2 से 6 जुलाई के दौरान बहुत भारी बारिश और 7-8 जुलाई को भारी बारिश का अलर्ट है। पश्चिमी राजस्थान में 2 जुलाई को 50-60 किमी/घंटे की रफ्तार से थंडरस्क्वाल (आंधी) और धूल भरी आंधी चलने की चेतावनी है जबकि 5-7 जुलाई के बीच यहां भारी बारिश हो सकती है।

आंधी-तूफान का अलर्ट: दिल्ली, पंजाब, हरियाणा और राजस्थान में 2 से 8 जुलाई के दौरान 40-50 किमी/घंटे (झोंके 60 किमी/घंटे तक) की रफ्तार से हवाएं चलेंगी।

2- मध्य भारत (मध्य प्रदेश, छत्तीसगढ़ और विदर्भ)

मध्य प्रदेश: पूरे राज्य में 2 से 8 जुलाई तक व्यापक बारिश होगी। पश्चिम मध्य प्रदेश में 2 जुलाई और 5-8 जुलाई को बहुत भारी बारिश होगी जबकि 3-4 जुलाई को अत्यधिक भारी बारिश का अलर्ट है। पूर्वी मध्य प्रदेश में 3-4 जुलाई को बहुत भारी बारिश होगी।

छत्तीसगढ़ और विदर्भ: दोनों क्षेत्रों में 2 और 3 जुलाई को बहुत भारी बारिश की संभावना है। छत्तीसगढ़ में 4 से 8 जुलाई और विदर्भ में 4 व 7-8 जुलाई को भारी बारिश का सिलसिला जारी रहेगा। 2 और 3 जुलाई को इस पूरे क्षेत्र में तेज आकाशीय बिजली चमकने का अलर्ट है।

3- पूर्वी भारत (बिहार, झारखंड, ओडिशा और पश्चिम बंगाल)

बिहार: बिहार में 2 से 4 जुलाई और 7-8 जुलाई को छिटपुट से लेकर भारी बारिश होगी जबकि 5 और 6 जुलाई को राज्य के अधिकांश हिस्सों में व्यापक रूप से भारी बारिश का अनुमान है। 2 जुलाई और 5-6 जुलाई को यहां तेज आंधी चलने की भी संभावना है।

झारखंड: 4 से 8 जुलाई के बीच झारखंड में व्यापक रूप से भारी बारिश होने की संभावना है।

ओडिशा: लो-प्रेशर एरिया के कारण ओडिशा में 2 जुलाई को बहुत भारी बारिश, 3 और 4 जुलाई को अत्यधिक भारी बारिश तथा 7-8 जुलाई को पुनः भारी बारिश का अलर्ट जारी किया गया है।

पश्चिम बंगाल और सिक्किम: गंगीय पश्चिम बंगाल में 4-5 जुलाई को बहुत भारी बारिश तथा उप-हिमालयी पश्चिम बंगाल व सिक्किम में 7-8 जुलाई को भारी बारिश होने की उम्मीद है।

4- पश्चिम भारत (गुजरात, कोंकण और गोवा)

गुजरात क्षेत्र, कोंकण और गोवा: इन क्षेत्रों में 2 से 8 जुलाई तक लगातार व्यापक बारिश जारी रहेगी। गुजरात क्षेत्र और कोंकण में 2 से 5 जुलाई के दौरान कुछ जगहों पर मूसलाधार बारिश होगी, जबकि गुजरात क्षेत्र में 6 से 8 जुलाई के बीच बहुत भारी बारिश का अलर्ट है।

सौराष्‍ट्र और कच्‍छ: 2 से 4 जुलाई तक अत्यधिक भारी बारिश के बाद 5-6 जुलाई को बहुत भारी बारिश और 7-8 जुलाई को भारी बारिश होने की संभावना है।

मराठावाड़ा: 3 जुलाई को यहां भारी बारिश की संभावना है जिसके बाद 4 से 8 जुलाई के बीच मौसम थोड़ा धीमा रहेगा।

5- दक्षिण प्रायद्वीपीय भारत (कर्नाटक, केरल, तेलंगाना और आंध्र प्रदेश)

तटीय कर्नाटक: 2 से 8 जुलाई के दौरान लगातार बहुत भारी बारिश का अलर्ट जारी किया गया है।

केरल, माहे और दक्षिण आंतरिक कर्नाटक: केरल और माहे में 3 जुलाई को बहुत भारी बारिश होगी जबकि 4 से 8 जुलाई तक भारी बारिश जारी रहेगी। दक्षिण आंतरिक कर्नाटक में 5 से 8 जुलाई के दौरान बहुत भारी बारिश का अनुमान है।

तेलंगाना और तटीय आंध्र प्रदेश: तेलंगाना में 2 जुलाई को व्यापक बारिश और 2-4 जुलाई के दौरान भारी बारिश की संभावना है। तटीय आंध्र प्रदेश और यानम में 2 से 5 जुलाई के बीच भारी बारिश हो सकती है।

तेज हवाओं का अलर्ट: कर्नाटक, तेलंगाना और रायलसीमा क्षेत्र में 2 से 8 जुलाई के दौरान तेज सतही हवाएं चलने की चेतावनी दी गई है।

6- पूर्वोत्तर भारत (असम, मेघालय और त्रिपुरा)

नागालैंड, मणिपुर, मिजोरम और त्रिपुरा में 2 से 8 जुलाई के दौरान व्यापक बारिश होगी जिसमें 2 से 4 जुलाई के बीच भारी बारिश का अलर्ट है।

असम और मेघालय में 3 और 4 जुलाई को भारी बारिश के साथ 30-40 किमी/घंटे की रफ्तार से हवाएं चलने का अनुमान है।

Revolt Motors has expanded its electric motorcycle line-up with the launch of the new RVX at an introductory price of Rs 1.30 lakh (ex-showroom, India). Positioned as the brand’s new performance-focused offering aimed at a younger audience, the RVX gets a new mid-drive motor, a removable battery and a claimed IDC range of 160km.

Revolt RVX: What’s new?

The RVX gets a mid-mounted motor with 5.3kW of peak output

Powering the RVX is a new mid-drive permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) rated at 4kW, with a peak output of 5.3kW. Revolt claims the motorcycle produces up to 230Nm of torque at the rear wheel, accelerates from 0-40kph in 3.9 seconds and has a top speed of 90kph in Boost mode.

The motor draws power from a 3.24kWh removable NMC battery pack, which is claimed to deliver an IDC-certified range of 160km on a single charge. Using a fast charger, the battery can be charged from 0 to 80 percent in 80 minutes.

The RVX is suspended on a USD fork and a rear monoshock. It gets a new 3.5-inch IP67-rated PMVA display with Bluetooth connectivity, telematics and over-the-air updates. The RVX also offers four riding modes: Boost, Sport, City and Eco.

Other features include geofencing, call and message notifications, hill-hold assist, reverse mode, walk assist, an immobiliser and vehicle locator. The RVX will be available in Pearl Black, Electric Blue and Eclipse Red colours.

The RVX has been launched at an introductory price of Rs 1.30 lakh (ex-showroom, inclusive of applicable PM E-DRIVE incentives) and will be sold through Revolt’s network of over 200 dealerships across India. In Delhi, the company says the motorcycle can be purchased at an effective ex-showroom price of Rs 94,990 after applicable incentives under the state’s EV policy.

At Rs 1.30 lakh, the RVX is priced very close to the recently launched Oben Rorr EVO, which starts at Rs 1.25 lakh (ex-showroom). Within Revolt’s own line-up, the RVX sits above the RV BlazeX (Rs 1.20 lakh), at par with the RV400 BRZ (Rs 1.30 lakh) and below the RV400 (Rs 1.40 lakh). The RV1 and RV1+ remain the brand’s entry-level offerings.

Bhaari Barish Alert: देश भर में मानसून ने अपनी रफ्तार बेहद तेज कर दी है। भारतीय मौसम विज्ञान विभाग (IMD) के ताजा अपडेट के मुताबिक दक्षिण-पश्चिम मानसून ने 2 जुलाई को पूरे उत्तर प्रदेश को कवर कर लिया है। इसके साथ ही 5 दिन देर से ही सही मानसून ने दिल्ली में भी एंट्री कर ली है। यूपी में मानसून के पूरी तरह छा जाने के साथ ही मौसम विभाग ने बिहार समेत देश के कई राज्यों के लिए अगले 48 घंटे बेहद भारी बताए हैं।

IMD ने कई क्षेत्रों में मूसलाधार बारिश का अलर्ट जारी किया है। अगले 2 दिनों के भीतर मानसून के दिल्ली, हरियाणा, चंडीगढ़, पंजाब, उत्तर अरब सागर, गुजरात, मध्य प्रदेश, उत्तर प्रदेश के बचे हुए हिस्सों और राजस्थान में आगे बढ़ने के लिए परिस्थितियां पूरी तरह अनुकूल बनी हुई हैं।

अगले 2 दिन: इन राज्यों में भारी से बहुत भारी बारिश का अलर्ट

मौसम विभाग के मुताबिक, आगामी दो दिनों के दौरान तटीय और पश्चिमी भारत के हिस्सों में आफत की बारिश हो सकती है। आईएमडी ने अगले 48 घंटों के लिए नीचे दिए गए क्षेत्रों में भारी से बहुत भारी बारिश की चेतावनी जारी की है:-

उत्तर प्रदेश: 2 जुलाई को मानसून के पूरे राज्य में छा जाने के बाद यहां बारिश की गतिविधियां तेज हो गई हैं।

तटीय कर्नाटक

गुजरात

कोंकण और गोवा

मध्य महाराष्ट्र

अगले 3 दिन: मध्य भारत और पहाड़ी राज्यों में रहेगा ऐसा ही मौसम

आईएमडी ने अलर्ट जारी करते हुए बताया है कि अगले 3 दिनों के दौरान देश के मध्य, पूर्वी और पहाड़ी राज्यों में भी मौसम का मिजाज काफी आक्रामक रहेगा। इन क्षेत्रों में भी भारी से बहुत भारी बारिश दर्ज होने का अनुमान है:-

उत्तराखंड और हिमाचल प्रदेश

छत्तीसगढ़, मध्य प्रदेश और विदर्भ

ओडिशा

सौराष्ट्र और कच्छ

शनिवार तक बिहार और पूर्वोत्तर समेत इन राज्यों में हैवी रैन

मौसम विभाग के अनुसार, बिहार सहित देश के कई अन्य हिस्सों में शनिवार तक लगातार भारी बारिश की स्थिति बनी रहेगी। इस दायरे में आने वाले राज्य हैं:-

बिहार और झारखंड

उत्तर प्रदेश (पूरे राज्य में भारी बारिश का दौर जारी रहेगा)

जम्मू और कश्मीर तथा लद्दाख

केरल (केरलम) और माहे

ISRO के सैटेलाइट तस्वीरों में दिखा बादलों का महासागर

भारतीय अंतरिक्ष अनुसंधान संगठन (ISRO) के INSAT-3DS सैटेलाइट से जारी थर्मल इंफ्रारेड तस्वीरों में मानसून की एक बेहद हैरान करने वाली और नाटकीय प्रगति दर्ज की गई है। सैटेलाइट से मिली तस्वीरों में निम्नलिखित बड़ी बातें सामने आई हैं। अंतरिक्ष से ली गई तस्वीरों में पश्चिम बंगाल से लेकर सीधे जम्मू-कश्मीर तक फैली हुई लगभग 1,500 किलोमीटर लंबी एक लगातार सक्रिय रेन बैंड यानी बादलों की विशाल पट्टी साफ दिखाई दे रही है।

मौसम वैज्ञानिकों का कहना है कि ये मानसूनी बादल अलग-अलग या छितराए हुए नहीं हैं, बल्कि वे एक लंबी कतार में आपस में जुड़े हुए हैं। यह देश में एक बेहद सक्रिय मानसून परिसंचरण शुरू होने का सीधा संकेत है। ये विशालकाय बादल अपने साथ भारी मात्रा में नमी लेकर चल रहे हैं जो एक साथ देश के कई राज्यों में भारी से बहुत भारी बारिश कराने की क्षमता रखते हैं।

दो तरफ की मानसूनी हवाओं का मिलन, उत्तर भारत में रफ्तार तेज

सैटेलाइट तस्वीरों से यह भी साफ हुआ है कि अरब सागर और बंगाल की खाड़ी, दोनों ही दिशाओं से आने वाली नमी से लदी हवाएं इस समय उत्तर भारत के आसमान पर आकर आपस में मिल रही हैं। इसके कारण मानसून की ट्रफ लाइन अब अपनी सामान्य स्थिति की ओर खिसकने लगी है, जिसने मैदानी इलाकों में लगातार और भारी बारिश के लिए परिस्थितियां बेहद अनुकूल बना दी हैं।

देश के सबसे सूखे जून महीनों में से एक का सामना करने के बाद मानसून ने उत्तर भारत में यह जोरदार वापसी की है। इस बढ़ी हुई मानसूनी सक्रियता की वजह से ही उत्तराखंड, उत्तर प्रदेश और महाराष्ट्र समेत कई राज्यों में पहले से ही व्यापक रूप से भारी बारिश हो रही है। मौसम विभाग के मुताबिक, व्यापक बारिश और आंधी-तूफान के बाद दक्षिण-पश्चिम मानसून 1 जुलाई को ही पश्चिमी उत्तर प्रदेश के अधिकांश हिस्सों और पूर्वी हरियाणा के कुछ इलाकों में प्रवेश कर चुका था, जिसके बाद अब इसने रफ्तार पकड़ ली है।

Monsoon Watch 2nd July: दिल्लीवालों का इंतजार आखिरकार खत्म हो गया है। झुलसाती गर्मी और शुष्क जून के बाद दक्षिण-पश्चिम मानसून ने गुरुवार 2 जुलाई को देश की राजधानी दिल्ली में आधिकारिक तौर पर दस्तक दे दी है। मानसून अपने सामान्य आगमन की तारीख (27 जून) से 5 दिन की देरी से दिल्ली पहुंचा है। इसके आते ही राजधानी के कई हिस्सों में व्यापक बारिश का दौर शुरू हो गया है। इससे फिलहाल मौसम सुहावना हो गया है। भारतीय मौसम विज्ञान विभाग (IMD) के मुताबिक साल 2021 के बाद यह पहली बार है जब मानसून ने जुलाई के महीने में दिल्ली में प्रवेश किया है।

पिछले 5 सालों में सबसे देरी से पहुंचा मानसून

मौसम विभाग के ऐतिहासिक आंकड़ों पर नजर डालें तो पिछले पांच वर्षों में मानसून के दिल्ली पहुंचने का पैटर्न कुछ ऐसा रहा है:-

2021 में मानसून काफी देरी से 13 जुलाई को आया था। इसके बाद अब 2026 में इसने जुलाई के महीने में दस्तक दी है। मौसम विभाग ने आज दिन भर दिल्ली के कई हिस्सों में गरज-चमक के साथ बारिश होने और आसमान में आमतौर पर बादल छाए रहने का पूर्वानुमान जताया है।

मौसम विभाग ने दिल्ली-एनसीआर के लिए तात्कालिक अलर्ट जारी किया है। दिल्ली में गरज-चमक और आकाशीय बिजली के साथ बहुत हल्की बारिश या बूंदाबांदी होने की संभावना है। इस दौरान 30 से 40 किमी प्रति घंटे की रफ्तार से तेज हवाएं चलने की भी चेतावनी दी गई है।

भारतीय अंतरिक्ष अनुसंधान संगठन (ISRO) के INSAT-3DS सैटेलाइट से बुधवार को जारी थर्मल इंफ्रारेड तस्वीरों में मानसून की एक बेहद हैरान करने वाली और नाटकीय प्रगति देखी गई है। सैटेलाइट तस्वीरों में पश्चिम बंगाल से लेकर जम्मू-कश्मीर तक फैली हुई लगभग 1500 किलोमीटर लंबी एक लगातार सक्रिय रेन बैंड यानी बादलों की विशाल पट्टी दिखाई दी है।

मौसम वैज्ञानिकों के अनुसार मानसून के बादल छितराए हुए नहीं हैं बल्कि वे एक लंबी कतार में आपस में जुड़े हुए दिखाई दे रहे हैं। यह सक्रिय मानसून परिसंचरण की शुरुआत का सीधा संकेत है। ये विशाल बादल अपने साथ भारी मात्रा में नमी लेकर चल रहे हैं। ये एक साथ कई राज्यों में भारी बारिश कराने में सक्षम हैं।

तस्वीरों से पता चलता है कि अरब सागर और बंगाल की खाड़ी, दोनों तरफ से आने वाली नमी से लदी हवाएं उत्तर भारत के ऊपर आकर आपस में मिल रही हैं। इसके साथ ही मानसून की ट्रफ लाइन अपनी सामान्य स्थिति की ओर खिसकने लगी है। इससे मैदानी इलाकों में लगातार बारिश के लिए अनुकूल परिस्थितियां बन गई हैं।

उत्तर भारत में मानसून की रफ्तार तेज

देश के सबसे सूखे जून महीनों में से एक के बाद मानसून ने उत्तर भारत में जोरदार वापसी की है। इस बढ़ी हुई मानसूनी सक्रियता की वजह से उत्तराखंड, उत्तर प्रदेश और महाराष्ट्र समेत कई राज्यों में पहले से ही व्यापक बारिश हो रही है। मौसम विभाग के अनुसार, व्यापक बारिश और आंधी-तूफान के बाद दक्षिण-पश्चिम मानसून 1 जुलाई को पश्चिमी उत्तर प्रदेश के अधिकांश हिस्सों और पूर्वी हरियाणा के कुछ इलाकों में आगे बढ़ चुका था।

इसके बाद अगले 24 घंटों के भीतर मानसून ने तेजी से उत्तर की ओर रुख किया, जिसके परिणामस्वरूप बुधवार रात से गुरुवार दोपहर के बीच दिल्ली-एनसीआर, चंडीगढ़ और हरियाणा व पंजाब के कई और हिस्सों में मानसूनी हवाएं और शुरुआती गरज-चमक के साथ बारिश का दौर चल रहा है।

दिल्ली में 6 लेन टनल परियोजना को मिली हरी झंडी, वेस्ट और साउथ दिल्ली के बीच होगी बेहतर कनेक्टिविटी

केंद्र सरकार ने बुधवार को एक नई छह लेन वाली सड़क सुरंग (टनल) परियोजना को मंजूरी दे दी है। ये परियोजना भारतीय राष्ट्रीय राजमार्ग प्राधिकरण (NHAI) की ओर से तैयार की जाएगी। करीब 8.1 किलोमीटर लंबे इस कॉरिडोर पर लगभग 6,970 करोड़ रुपये खर्च होने का अनुमान है। इस सड़क परियोजना का निर्माण हाइब्रिड एन्युइटी मॉडल (HAM) के तहत किया जाएगा और इसे पूरा होने में लगभग पांच साल लग सकते हैं। ये परियोजना द्वारका एक्सप्रेसवे को वसंत कुंज स्थित नेल्सन मंडेला मार्ग से जोड़ेगी। इसके पूरा होने के बाद वेस्ट और साउथ दिल्ली के बीच यात्रा पहले की तुलना में अधिक तेज और सुविधाजनक होने की उम्मीद है।

कहां से कहां तक होगी परियोजना

इस परियोजना की सबसे खास बात साउथ दिल्ली के रंगपुरी (सदर्न दिल्ली) रिज के नीचे बनने वाली करीब 3.14 किलोमीटर लंबी दोहरी सुरंग (ट्विन-ट्यूब टनल) होगी। इसे आधुनिक टनल बोरिंग मशीन (TBM) टेक्नोलॉजी से तैयार किया जाएगा, ताकि पर्यावरण को कम से कम नुकसान पहुंचे। सुरंग का बड़ा हिस्सा जंगल के नीचे से होकर गुजरेगा, जिससे प्राकृतिक क्षेत्र सुरक्षित रहेगा और लोगों को बेहतर यातायात सुविधा भी मिल सकेगी। ये टनल शिव मूर्ति इंटरचेंज से शुरू होकर वसंत कुंज के नेल्सन मंडेला मार्ग और महिपालपुर-छतरपुर रोड के चौराहे के पास जाकर खत्म होगी।

इन योजनाओं पर भी होगा काम

टनल के बाहर यातायात को सुचारु बनाने के लिए इस परियोजना में नेल्सन मंडेला मार्ग पर करीब 1.8 किलोमीटर लंबी एलिवेटेड सड़क बनाई जाएगी। इसके अलावा छतरपुर से महिपालपुर जाने वाले वाहनों के लिए एक नया फ्लाईओवर और ट्रैफिक जाम कम करने के लिए एलिवेटेड यू-टर्न भी बनाया जाएगा। वहीं, एनएचएआई भविष्य में एम्स से महिपालपुर तक एक एलिवेटेड कॉरिडोर विकसित करने की योजना पर भी काम कर रहा है, जो इस नई टनल को बारापुला एलिवेटेड रोड से जोड़ेगा।

इस परियोजना के पूरा होने के बाद वेस्ट, साउथ और ईस्ट दिल्ली के साथ-साथ गाजियाबाद और नोएडा के बीच सफर पहले से अधिक आसान और तेज हो जाएगा। इससे पूरे राष्ट्रीय राजधानी क्षेत्र (NCR) में बेहतर रोड नेटवर्क मिलेगा, जिससे लोगों का यात्रा समय भी कम होने की उम्मीद है।

एयरपोर्ट तक होगी बेहतर कनेक्टिविटी

ये नई सड़क परियोजना द्वारका एक्सप्रेसवे, अर्बन एक्सटेंशन रोड-2 (UER-II) और वसंत कुंज के बीच तेज और बिना सिग्नल वाला संपर्क उपलब्ध कराएगी, जिससे वेस्ट और साउथ दिल्ली के बीच ट्रैवल टाइम काफी कम हो जाएगा। इसके अलावा साउथ और पूर्वी दिल्ली से गुरुग्राम, द्वारका और इंदिरा गांधी अंतरराष्ट्रीय हवाई अड्डे तक पहुंच भी पहले से अधिक आसान और तेज होगी। इस कॉरिडोर का उद्देश्य प्रमुख सड़कों पर ट्रैफिक का दबाव कम करना और रिहायशी, व्यावसायिक तथा एयरपोर्ट क्षेत्रों तक बेहतर कनेक्टिविटी उपलब्ध कराना है।

मिलेगी इतनी नौकरी

सरकार के मुताबिक, इस परियोजना के निर्माण के दौरान बड़ी संख्या में रोजगार के अवसर पैदा होंगे। आधिकारिक अनुमान के अनुसार, राष्ट्रीय राजमार्ग के प्रत्येक लेन-किलोमीटर के निर्माण से सीधे और अप्रत्यक्ष रूप से कई लोगों को काम मिलता है, जिससे स्थानीय स्तर पर रोजगार बढ़ने की भी उम्मीद है। सरकारी अनुमान के अनुसार, इस प्रोजेक्ट से लगभग 7.54 लाख पर्सन-डे डायरेक्ट नौकरी और 9.80 लाख पर्सन-डे इनडायरेक्ट नौकरी मिलने की उम्मीद है। अधिकारियों के मुताबिक, सड़क संपर्क बेहतर होने के बाद आसपास के क्षेत्रों में व्यापार और अन्य आर्थिक गतिविधियां भी बढ़ेंगी, जिससे भविष्य में रोजगार के नए अवसर बनने की संभावना है।

Electric scooter market records its second highest monthly sales in June 2026

The Indian electric two-wheeler industry has notched its second-highest monthly retail sales total in June. The 1,93,495 e-scooters delivered to customers last month are a 75 percent YoY increase and just 5,891 units short of the record sales in March 2026.

May 2026 saw a sales spike due to four petrol price hikes, June 2026 witnessed a 12 percent month-on-month increase to take cumulative January-June 2026 sales to 9,70,611 units, up 53 percent YoY. In a segment which has over 175 players, let’s take a closer look at the Top 10 led by TVS Motor Co. 

TVS Motor Co: 46,999 units

Market share: 24 percent

Electric 2W market leader TVS Motor Co, with 46,999 units and handsome 76 percent YoY growth (June 2026: 26,74 units), registered its second-highest monthly retails after the record 51,630 units it sold in March this year. This gives TVS a 24 percent market share, the same as June 2025. Each of the first three months of the current fiscal year have seen 40,000-plus sales for TVS.  

Among the highlights of June for TVS was achieving the cumulative 1-million sales milestone to be the second OEM to do so after Ola.

With 2,51,335 iQubes and Orbiters sold in January-June this year, TVS looks well set to surpass the 500,000-units or half-a-million annual sales milestone, for the first time in CY2026.

Bajaj Auto: 43,234 units

Market share: 22 percent

Bajaj Auto, the closest challenger to TVS, sold 43,234 units. This marks robust 80 percent YoY growth, giving the Chetak manufacturer a 22 percent market share. Like TVS, this is also Bajaj Auto’s second-highest monthly retail sales after March 2026. The gap between TVS and Bajaj has been narrowing steadily. In June, Bajaj Auto became the third Indian e-2W manufacturer to surpass 800,000 sales.

Ather Energy: 31,188 units

Market share: 16 percent

Like TVS and Bajaj, Ather Energy too has clocked its second-highest monthly sales in June. The 31,188 units are the second time the Bengaluru-based e-2W startup has sold over 30,000 units, with the highest being in March 2026 (36,365 units). Ather’s stellar sales last month are a 95 YoY increase, which sees its market share rise to 16 percent from 14 percent a year ago. 

The Rizta family scooter, which has crossed 300,000 cumulative sales, remains the most popular product for Ather which last week surpassed the 700,000 sales milestone.

Hero MotoCorp (Vida): 21,792 units

Market share: 11 percent

The EV arm of the world’s largest 2W manufacturer continues to shine. Hero Vida e-scooter deliveries of 21,792 units were a 175 percent YoY increase (June 2025: 7,920 units) and only the second instance of over 20,000 monthly sales. June numbers missed the highest Vida sales total of 22,201 by only 409 units.

At 1,05,986 units in the first six months of this year, Hero Vida retail sales are already 94 percent of its CY2025 sales of 113,021 units and indicate that Hero MotoCorp will, for the first time, achieve the 200,000 annual sales milestone for its EVs.

Ola Electric: 16,144 units

Market share: 8 percent

Ola Electric, the longstanding e-2W market leader till April 2025, is witnessing a revival in demand. The company delivered 16,144 units to its customers in June. While this number is down 22 percent YoY (June 2025: 20,697 units), it also marks the fifth straight month-on-month growth for Ola Ranked No. 5 on the OEM ladder, Ola’s current monthly market share is 8 percent, considerably down from the 19 percent it had in June 2025 when it was ranked No. 3 after TVS and Bajaj Auto.

Greaves Electric Mobility: 10,928 units

Market share: 6 percent

The IPO-bound Greaves Electric Mobility, the manufacturer of Ampere e-scooters, is another OEM which is witnessing growing demand for its products. In June 2026, the company delivered 10,928 units, marking a handsome 152 percent YoY growth (June 2025: 4,334 units). This robust performance, which sees GEM breach the 10,000-units monthly retail sales mark after nearly three years, sees the Ampere scooter market share rise to 6 percent from 4 percent a year ago.

At nearly 44,000 units sold in the first six months of this year, GEM is well placed to cross 100,000 units in CY2026. Demand has risen following the launch of the new Ampere Magnus Neo, a lighter and redesigned variant aimed at urban commuter buyers. GEM’s EV portfolio comprises the Nexus (EX and ST), Magnus (G Max, Grand, Neo) and Reo 80 brands. 

River Mobility: 4,391 units

Market share: 2 percent

Bengaluru-based River Mobility, which is witnessing growing demand for its sole product – the River Indie – delivered 4,391 units, up 214 percent YoY. This sees the company double its e-2W market share to 2 percent. The EV startup had clocked its highest monthly sales in March 2026 (4,271 units) and has sold over 43,000 Indies to date since the e-scooter’s rollout in October 2023. 

The last three OEMs in the Top 10 list comprise three startups. At No. 8 is Bgauss Auto, which began sales in August 2022 and is now a regular in the monthly Top 10 OEM list. Bgauss sold 3,916 units last month. Between January and June, Bgauss has sold 19,480 units which gives it a 2 percent share of all-India e-2W sales in H1 CY2026.

The Delhi-based E-Sprinto Green Energy is also registering good demand for its e-scooters. In June, this startup sold 1,878 units and a 1 percent market share to take ninth rank amongst 175 players. 

Wrapping up the Top 10 is Simple Energy which sold 1,365 e-scooters last month. The company has outlined an ambitious future sales target of 10,000 units a month by March 2027. It could be banking on the upcoming e-scooter, understood to be called the Simple Arrive and a family-centric model aimed to rival the TVS iQube, Ather Rizta and Bajaj Chetak.

Promise of Strong Growth Continuing in CY2026

The e-2W segment, the largest volume provider to India EV Inc, is on a roll this year. The 9,70,611 electric scooters, bikes and mopeds sold in the first six months of this year are already 72 percent of the record 1.34 million units sold in CY2025. With petrol prices surging in May as a result of multiple hikes, a growing number of ICE scooter buyers are actively considering a shift to zero-emission models, which leading players like TVS, Bajaj Auto, Ather Energy, Hero Vida, Ola and Greaves Electric Mobility are capitalising on.

In June, these 6 OEMs with combined sales of 170,285 units had an 88 percent share of the total 193,495 e-2Ws sold. Add the remaining four OEMs to the Top 10 list and their 1,81,835 units give these movers and shakers a commanding 94 percent share of last month’s sales, leaving just 6 percent to be fought over by 165 other players.

What will add tailwinds to future growth is the Delhi government’s game-changing EV Policy 2.0, which kicks in from today, July 1 and enables strong demand potential for electric two-wheelers in the capital city. It would not be surprising if other states and UTs in India take the EV-friendly policy cue from Delhi and tweak their existing EV policies or introduce one.

The Pleasure+ is one of Hero’s longest-running scooters on sale. It is also the brand’s most affordable scooter and is available in three variants. Here’s a feature breakdown of those variants.

The Pleasure+ Xtec is available in three variants

LX 

All three variants are mechanically identical and powered by the same 109.5cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine. The differences between them are limited to features and equipment.

The LX is the base variant of the Pleasure+. It rides on steel wheels instead of cast alloy wheels and does not get telescopic front suspension. This variant also misses out on Hero’s i3S idle start-stop system and Bluetooth connectivity.

It features a fully analogue instrument cluster and a halogen headlight. While chrome fascia and accents are present, it does not offer a pillion backrest. The inner panel is also finished in black.

The Base LX variant of the Pleasure+ is priced at Rs 69,766 (ex-showroom, Delhi).

VX

The VX sits above the LX and adds telescopic front suspension along with cast alloy wheels. It also gets the i3S idle start-stop system.

The instrument cluster is a digi-analogue unit, but Bluetooth connectivity is still not offered. Lighting duties continue to be handled by a halogen headlight. Like the LX, it does not get a pillion backrest, and the inner panel remains black with chrome accents.

At Rs 72,779, the VX commands a premium of Rs 3,013 over the LX for the added equipment.

XTEC ZX 

The XTEC ZX is the top-spec variant in the Pleasure+ line-up. It gets telescopic suspension, cast alloy wheels and the i3S system, similar to the VX.

In addition, it features Bluetooth connectivity paired with a fully digital instrument cluster. It also gets a projector LED headlamp and a dual-textured inner panel finish. This is the only variant to offer a pillion backrest.

At Rs 77,162, the XTEC ZX costs Rs 4,383 more than the VX and Rs 7,396 more than the LX, positioning it as the most feature-rich version in the range.
