Sawan 2026: हिंदी कैलेंडर में सावन पांचवां महीना होता है। धार्मिक मान्यताओं के अनुसार, यह महीना भगवान शिव को अत्यंत प्रिय है। चारों ओर फैली हरियाली और ‘बोल बम’ की गूंज इस माह की पहचान माने जाते हैं। देश ही नहीं पूरी दुनिया के शिव भक्त इस माह में भगवान शिव की भक्ति में लीन होते हैं। यूं तो पूरे साल में आने वाले सभी सोमवार भगवान शिव और माता पार्वती को समर्पित माने जाते हैं, लेकिन सावन के महीने में सोमवार का दिन विशेष स्थान रखता है।
इस दिन सुबह से ही छोटे-बड़े हर शिवालय में भक्त अपने आराध्य का अभिषेक और उपवास करते हैं। सावन के महीने में ही भक्त कांवड़ा भरकर लाते हैं और अपने आराध्य शिव का जलाभिषेक करते हैं। माना जाता है कि इस अवधि में माता पार्वती और भगवान शिव की श्रद्धा और विधि विधान से की गई पूजा बहुत लाभकारी होती है। गौरी शंकर अपने भक्तों की दु:ख-तकलीफें दूर करते हैं और उन्हें सुखी जीवन का आशीर्वाद देते हैं। हर साल की तरह इस साल भी सावन के सोमवार को व्रत करेंगे और मंगलवार को मंगला गौरी का व्रत किया जाएगा। आइए जानें इस साल सावन में कितने सोमवार और मंगला गौरी व्रत का संयोग बन रहा है?

सावन के सोमवार को सुबह जल्दी उठकर नहा लें और साफ कपड़े पहनें।
इसके बाद पास के शिव मंदिर जाएं। सबसे पहले शिवलिंग पर गंगाजल चढ़ाएं।
फिर दूध, दही, घी, शहद और गन्ने के रस से बना ‘पंचामृत’ अर्पित करें।
भोलेनाथ को सफेद चंदन लगाएं और सफेद फूल, भांग, धतूरा और फल चढ़ाएं।
शिव जी के साथ पूरे शिव परिवार की भी पूजा करें।
अंत में आरती करें और सच्चे मन से “ॐ नमः शिवाय” या “श्री शिवाय नमस्तुभ्यं” मंत्र का जाप करें।
The new-gen GLB EV will be coming to our market, Santosh Iyer, Managing Director and CEO of Mercedes-Benz India, said during the company’s half-yearly sales call. Sitting atop the Mercedes-Benz Modular Architecture (MMA) platform, the GLB EV was revealed globally in December 2025. The compact luxury SUV shares a lot of its general design and feature set with its combustion-powered stablemates, and is already on sale in markets like the UK.

The international-spec Mercedes-Benz GLB EV is available in GLB 250+ and GLB 350 4MATIC variants. The single-motor GLB 250+ develops 272hp and 335Nm, whilst the dual-motor GLB 350 4MATIC variant offers up 353hp and 515Nm. While both variants house an 85kWh lithium-ion battery pack, Mercedes-Benz says that the single-motor variant has a WLTP-claimed range of up to 631km.
The 800V architecture of the new-gen Mercedes GLB EV allows DC fast-charging of up to 320kW, while 260km of range can be added in a claimed 10 minutes. Abroad, the GLB EV is also offered with optional adaptive dampers. While Iyer did not reveal any technical details for a India-spec GLB EV, the German automaker could bring more than just one variant to our market.

Much of the styling is similar to that found on the combustion-powered GLB
The new-gen GLB EV shares a lot of design similarities with its combustion-powered stablemate. While the upright front and rear ends, connected LED lighting and squared wheel arches remain comparable to the ICE-powered GLB, the pure-electric version gets a sealed off grille with multiple illuminated stars. Other design similarities here include the large three-pointed star up front, flush door handles and short overhangs. Inside, the global-spec GLB EV can seat either 5 or 7 occupants.
The global-spec GLB EV is available with the brand’s ‘MBUX Superscreen’, which includes a 10.25-inch digital driver’s display, a 14-inch touch-infotainment screen and a front passenger display. The whole setup is powered by the Mercedes‑Benz Operating System (MB.OS), and AI integration includes names such as Microsoft, Google and ChatGPT4o.
There’s over-the-air (OTA) software updates, built-in Google Maps, a panoramic glass roof with opacity control, multi-mood ambient lighting, a Burmester audio system with Dolby Atmos and an advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) suite as well. It remains to be seen which variant of the GLB EV Mercedes-Benz brings to India, as Iyer did not delve into details on this front either.
Mercedes-Benz GLB EV expected price
There’s no word yet from Mercedes India regarding the pricing of the new-gen GLB EV, but the compact luxury SUV is priced between GBP 46,100 and GBP 56,800 in the UK. Once it makes its way to India as a CBU import, the Mercedes GLB EV will likely be priced at around Rs 80 lakh (ex-showroom).

पीटीआई की रिपोर्टके मुताबिक रेलवे जोनों द्वारा HRMS के माध्यम से भेजी गई रिक्तियों के आकलन के बाद सबसे अधिक पद सुरक्षा और रखरखाव से जुड़ी श्रेणियों में पाए गए हैं। जोनों द्वारा पहचानी गई रिक्तियों का विवरण इस प्रकार हैं-
परमानेंट वे कैटेगरी : सबसे अधिक 845 पद खाली हैं।
वर्क्स कैटेगरी : इसके बाद दूसरे नंबर पर 470 पद हैं।
कैरिज एंड वैगन कैटेगरी : इसमें 450 पद शामिल हैं।
जूनियर इंजीनियर (सिग्नल): इस पद के लिए 197 रिक्तियां स्वीकृत की गई हैं।
जूनियर इंजीनियर (टेलीकम्युनिकेशन): इसके लिए 79 पद निर्धारित किए गए हैं।
21 जुलाई से जारी होगा आधिकारिक नोटिफिकेशन, ये है टाइमलाइन
रेल मंत्रालय द्वारा सभी रेलवे जोनों के महाप्रबंधकों को भेजे गए एक हालिया सर्कुलर में कहा गया है कि जोनों द्वारा हाइलाइट की गई रिक्तियों के आधार पर ही भर्ती प्रक्रिया शुरू करने का निर्देश दिया गया है।
अधिसूचना की तारीख : रेलवे भर्ती बोर्ड बेंगलुरु के अध्यक्ष के साथ परामर्श के बाद मंत्रालय ने एक टाइमलाइन तय की है। इसके तहत नोडल RRB द्वारा 21 जुलाई 2026 से केंद्रीकृत रोजगार अधिसूचना जारी की जाएगी।
जोनों को सख्त निर्देश : जोनल रेलवे को निर्देश दिया गया है कि वे आंतरिक प्रणाली पर अंतिम रिक्ति सूची अपलोड करने से पहले सभी आंतरिक प्रक्रियाओं को पूरा करें। इसमें अनुसूचित जाति (SC), अनुसूचित जनजाति (ST), अन्य पिछड़ा वर्ग (OBC) और आर्थिक रूप से कमजोर वर्ग (EWS) श्रेणियों के लिए निर्धारित आरक्षण मानदंडों का अनुपालन सुनिश्चित करना अनिवार्य किया गया है।
पहले ही आ चुकी है 6565 तकनीशियनों की भर्ती
सर्कुलर में यह भी जानकारी दी गई है कि इससे पहले मंत्रालय की मंजूरी के बाद 6565 तकनीशियनों की भर्ती के लिए अधिसूचना पहले ही जारी की जा चुकी है। इसमें नीचे दिए गए पद शामिल थे:

रेलवे यूनियनों ने फैसले का किया स्वागत, काम का बोझ होगा कम
सुरक्षा श्रेणी के इन महत्वपूर्ण पदों को भरने के मंत्रालय के फैसले पर विभिन्न रेलवे यूनियनों ने गहरी संतुष्टि जताई है। यूनियनों का कहना है कि इस कदम से परिचालन दक्षता में सुधार होगा और वर्तमान में काम कर रहे कर्मचारियों पर से काम का बोझ कम होगा। ऑल इंडिया रेलवेमेन फेडरेशन (AIRF) के महासचिव शिव गोपाल मिश्रा ने इस फैसले की तारीफ करते हुए कहा कि ‘करोड़ों यात्रियों की सुरक्षा सुनिश्चित करने के लिए सुरक्षा-श्रेणी के रिक्त पदों को भरना बेहद आवश्यक कदम है। मैं रेल मंत्रालय के इस फैसले की सराहना करता हूं और उम्मीद करता हूं कि वे परिचालन सुरक्षा पर अपना ध्यान इसी तरह केंद्रित रखेंगे।’
इंडियन रेलवे एसएंडटी मेंटेनर्स यूनियन के महासचिव आलोक चंद्र प्रकाश ने दावा किया कि यह भर्ती प्रक्रिया सिग्नल और टेलीकॉम कर्मचारियों द्वारा किए गए देशव्यापी विरोध प्रदर्शन के बाद शुरू की गई है। उन्होंने कहा कि, ‘मुझे खुशी है कि रेल मंत्रालय ने हमारे विरोध पर संज्ञान लिया और विभिन्न सुरक्षा-श्रेणियों में लंबे समय से खाली पड़े पदों को भरने का फैसला किया। मुझे उम्मीद है कि मंत्रालय न केवल चरणबद्ध तरीके से सभी खाली पदों को भरेगा बल्कि रेलवे नेटवर्क और इसके इंफ्रास्ट्रक्चर के बड़े पैमाने पर हो रहे विस्तार की जरूरतों को पूरा करने के लिए नए पदों का सृजन भी करेगा।’
The Yamaha YZF-R1 is the Japanese manufacturer’s flagship litre-class superbike, built around a 998cc crossplane inline-four engine producing 200hp and 113Nm. The crossplane crankshaft equalises the inertial forces generated by a conventional inline-four, delivering a more linear torque character and the distinctive exhaust note that has become synonymous with the R1.
The 2025 update introduced carbon-fibre winglets inspired by the YZR-M1, along with Brembo Stylema front brake calipers and a Brembo master cylinder, all of which have been carried over for 2026.
The standard R1 comes equipped with a fully adjustable KYB front fork featuring independent high- and low-speed compression and rebound adjustment, while the range-topping R1M upgrades to electronically controlled Öhlins NPX suspension at both ends. The electronics suite is built around a six-axis IMU and includes cornering ABS, traction control, wheelie control and multiple customisable riding modes. While the R1 is not currently sold in India, international markets also get a special 70th Anniversary Edition livery.
Mercedes-Benz India has announced it achieved its best H1 (January to July) sales ever in 2026, with total sales of 9,768 units, marking a 9 percent increase over H1 2025. The manufacturer has also revealed it recorded its best-ever Q2 (April to June) sales of 4,238 units, a 10 percent growth over Q2 2025.

‘Top-end Luxury’ segment saw a robust 20 percent growth
The EQS SUV was the best-selling Mercedes-Benz BEC in H1 2026.
Mercedes-Benz has stated that its ‘Top-end Luxury’ segment, comprising models like the V-Class, Mercedes-Maybach cars, EQS SUV and the AMG range, grew by over 20 percent. In fact, 28 percent of total Mercedes-Benz sales in H1 2026 were from this ‘Top-end Luxury’ segment. Among total sales in this segment in H1 2026, 25 percent were from EVs. These top-end BEV sales were driven by the EQS SUV, which was also the brand’s bestselling EV. In the more affordable ‘luxury entry segment’, however, the CLA Electric drove sales. Notably, the Mercedes-AMG sales surged by 50 percent in H1 2026.
Mercedes also revealed that the waiting period for cars in this segment ranges from 4 months to up to a year for models like the AMG G63 SUV.
Mercedes-Benz’s ‘Core’ segment saw steady demand
CLA Electric, launched in April 2026, drove entry-level luxury segment growth.
The ‘Core’ segment, comprising models like the C-Class, E-Class LWB, GLC and GLE, “significantly contributed to the sales performance in H1 2026 and in Q2 2026.” The manufacturer did not reveal sales numbers for this segment. Mercedes-Benz, however, claimed that “the Long Wheelbase E-Class continues to remain the highest-selling luxury car in India” and that they witnessed “a strong demand for the top-end E 450 variant.”
The ‘Entry Luxury’ segment witnessed 29 percent growth in Q2 2026, driven by the CLA Electric and the GLA.
A Rs 450 crore expansion plan over the next two years was underlined too
Mercedes-Benz has also underlined an investment of Rs 450 crores over the next two years as part of an expansion plan. Under this plan, the company plans to debut in new markets like Varanasi, while “strengthening its footprint in established markets of Mumbai, Pune, Delhi NCR, and Hyderabad during H2 2026.” Mercedes has added six new touchpoints in H1 2026 across Bengaluru, Bhopal, Raipur, Goa and Visakhapatnam.

That is where automatic gearboxes help, and among the top 10 most affordable cars, AMT is the most popular, though some offer a CVT option too. Petrol is the dominant fuel type in this list, with some cars even pairing an automatic transmission with a CNG powertrain. Read on to find out which models made the cut.
10. Renault Kiger
Rs 6.99 lakh-10.35 lakh
Starting this list is the Renault Kiger, which offers an AMT option with its 72hp, 96Nm 1-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine. A turbo-petrol mill with CVT is also on offer, an engine-and-gearbox combination no other vehicle here provides apart from the Nissan Magnite. Also, this powertrain’s peak output figures are 100hp and 152Nm are the highest here. The Renault Kiger’s NA petrol-AMT option is available in the Evolution, Evolution+ and Techno Energy trims, while the turbo-petrol CVT is offered in the Techno Turbo and Emotion Turbo trims.
During our time with the turbo-petrol CVT, we experienced very little of that ‘rubberband’ effect, and it’s virtually absent at city speeds. It even does a good job of staying in the power band.
9. Hyundai Exter
Rs 6.95 lakh-9.61 lakh
Moving down the price ladder, we have the Hyundai Exter at the ninth place and its 1.2-litre NA petrol mill paired with an AMT makes 83hp and 114Nm. AMT is offered in the HX 3, HX 4+, HX 6, HX 8 and HX 10 trims. The sub-compact SUV received a facelift in March 2026, which brought cosmetic updates and a few feature upgrades but no mechanical changes. As a result, the Exter AMT should feel fairly smooth in regular driving. It also gets paddle shifters.
8. Tata Tigor
Rs 6.8 lakh-8.84 lakh
The Tata Tigor stands apart as the only sedan on this list. An AMT option with a CNG powertrain is also something only the Tigor and the Tiago offer. The Tigor petrol-AMT uses a 1.2-litre NA engine, generating 86hp and 113Nm, whereas in CNG mode, it makes 76hp and 97Nm. The AMT is offered in the XTA, XZA, XZA+ petrol trims and XZA CNG and XZA+ CNG trims.
Speaking of the engine, it feels adequate for everyday city driving and does a decent job of keeping up with the flow of traffic on the highway. It’s a capable commuter, although throttle responses could be sharper. Notably, in the Tigor CNG, the sedan starts in CNG mode by default, saving that extra bit of petrol, and the CNG-AMT version comes with the carmaker’s space-efficient dual-cylinder tank setup that limits the impact on boot space.
7. Nissan Magnite
Rs 6.24 lakh-10.96 lakh
The Nissan Magnite is a badge-engineered sibling of the Renault Kiger, offering the same 72hp 1-litre NA-AMT and 100hp turbo-petrol CVT powertrains. The AMT is available with the Visia, Acenta, N-Connecta, Tekna and Tekna+ trims, while the CVT is offered with turbo-petrol versions of these variants, save for Visia. We have sampled the turbo-petrol engine, which has a strong mid-range punch and works well with the smooth CVT to mask any lag at lower revs.
6. Tata Tiago
Rs 6 lakh-8.55 lakh
Like the Tigor, the Tata Tiago is available with 86hp petrol and 76hp petrol-CNG (dual-cylinder tank setup) options, both paired with an AMT. The AMT is offered with the Pure, Pure+, Pure+ A and Creative petrol and CNG trims. The Creative+ also offers an AMT choice, but only with the petrol engine. Tata gave the Tiago a major update in May 2026, although the changes were largely limited to styling revisions and feature additions. While reviewing the hatchback, we found that the engine is not particularly refined. For everyday commuting in heavy city traffic, performance is adequate.
5. Maruti Wagon R
Rs 5.97 lakh-6.84 lakh
One of India’s bestselling cars, the Maruti Wagon R offers an AMT with two naturally aspirated petrol engines: a 69hp, 91Nm 1-litre unit and a 91hp, 114Nm 1.2-litre unit. The Wagon R offers an AMT with the 1.0 VXI, 1.2 ZXI and 1.2 ZXI+. Both engines have been around for years and have proven to be both reliable and efficient. On this list alone, the 69hp NA petrol-AMT combination is offered in three other Maruti cars, including the Celerio, Alto K10 and S-Presso. While real-world performance varies by engine, the Wagon R comes with Maruti Suzuki’s reputation for hassle-free ownership and low running costs.
4. Maruti Celerio

Compared to the Wagon R’s tall-boy hatchback design, the Maruti Celerio opts for a more traditional look. The AMT is available with the VXI, ZXI and ZXI+ trims. For those unaware, the first-generation Celerio debuted AMT in India in 2014. The Celerio AMT is a good option for buyers who want the convenience of an automatic without spending too much. Gearshifts are generally timely, and the typical AMT pause or head-nod between shifts is well controlled, making it easy to drive in everyday conditions.
3. Maruti Alto K10
Rs 4.95 lakh-5.45 lakh
Like the Wagon R, the Maruti Alto K10 is another long-running nameplate from the carmaker. The AMT is offered with the VXI (O) and VXI+ (O) trims. Compared with the manual, the AMT-equipped Alto K10 feels a bit slower. Even so, it is smooth for a single-clutch automated manual and shows how much Maruti has improved this technology over the years. It responds well to kickdown, but overtaking on the highway needs a bit more planning. In city traffic, though, the AMT works very well.
2. Renault Kwid
Rs 4.90 lakh-5.61 lakh
The Renault Kwid is the French carmaker’s second model to feature on this list. Under the hood, the Kwid gets a 1-litre NA petrol engine that makes 69hp and 93Nm. The AMT is available on both Evolution and Climber trims. The engine has been tuned to deliver good power delivery, and it ambles along smoothly with just a light tap on the accelerator. But it does get gruff as the revs rise.

At number one is the Maruti S-Presso, currently the most affordable car in India to offer an automatic gearbox. The AMT is offered with the VXI (O) and VXI+ (O) trims. It is aimed at buyers looking for a budget-friendly automatic with low running and maintenance costs. However, even in its top-spec form, it misses out on several features, particularly on the safety front. Hence, spending a little more and getting the Alto K10 will be the more sensible and practical choice.

The Yamaha R6 has been around for 27 years, having debuted in 1999 and it has gone on to be one of the most iconic and recognizable sportbikes of all time. While it went off sale as a road bike in 2021 once the Euro 5 emission norms came in, it was still offered as a track only model for the last five years. However, Yamaha Japan has now announced that it will finally pull the plug on this middleweight icon.

According to a press release issued by Yamaha Japan, deliveries for a track only model called the “Yamaha R6 Race Base Model” will begin in February 2027. To secure one of these bikes, customers will have to reserve the bike in one of two purchase windows. The first opened on July 1 2026 and will close on 31 July 2026. A second reservation window will then open on 1 August 2026 before closing on the last day of the same month.
After these windows close, buyers in Japan will no longer be able to purchase the R6. As for customers in Europe and other select markets where the R6 Race is offered, the bike is likely to be available as long as stocks last.
The R6 Race Base Model has no road legal requirements like lights and number plates and it uses the same 599cc inline four cylinder engine as the road bike. The bike also features the same front suspension and braking set up from the bigger R1.
Sadly, Yamaha never launched the R6 in India, but enthusiasts have Kawasaki to thank for continuing to be the only Japanese manufacturer to sell a proper 600cc supersport in our market. The Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R has survived the latest emissions regulations and continues to be available in India, currently priced at Rs 12.49 lakh (ex-showroom, India).
Sensex-Nifty Closes Red: लगातार चार कारोबारी दिनों तक ग्रीन रहने के बाद आज भी सेंसेक्स और निफ्टी बढ़त के साथ खुले लेकिन शुरुआती बढ़त गंवाते हुए आखिरी में ये रेड जोन में बंद हुए। निफ्टी की वीकली एक्सपायरी का दिन होने के चलते आज आखिरी 35 मिनट में माहौल ही पलट गया और रिकवरी की कोशिशें नाकाम हो गई। सेंसेक्स इंट्रा-डे हाई से 600 प्वाइंट्स से अधिक टूट गया तो निफ्टी भी 24500 के पार जाने के बाद फिसलकर 24400 के नीचे आ गया। ब्रोडर लेवल पर तो और गहरा दबाव दिखा। निफ्टी मिडकैप 100 में 0.30% की कमजोरी आई तो निफ्टी स्मॉलकैप 100 भी 0.55% टूटकर बंद हुआ।
सेक्टरवाइज मार्केट को आज आईटी शेयरों ने ऊपर खींचने की काफी कोशिश और इंट्रा-डे में तो इसका निफ्टी इंडेक्स 4% उछल पड़ा था लेकिन दिन के आखिरी में इसकी बढ़त ढाई फीसदी से कम रह गई। मार्केट पर आज मेटल और रियल्टी सेक्टर्स ने काफी दबाव डाला। निफ्टी मेटल 1% से अधिक तो निफ्टी रियल्टी डेढ़ फीसदी से अधिक कमजोर हुआ है। इस माहौल में ओवरऑल आज BSE पर लिस्टेड कंपनियों का मार्केट कैप डेढ़ लाख करोड़ रुपये से अधिक घट गया यानी निवेशकों की दौलत में डेढ़ लाख करोड़ रुपये से अधिक की गिरावट आई है।
इक्विटी बेंचमार्क इंडेक्सेज की बात करें तो आज सेंसेक्स (Sensex) 104.35 प्वाइंट्स यानी 0.13% की फिसलन के साथ 78,180.72 और निफ्टी 50 (Nifty 50) भी 31.65 प्वाइंट्स यानी 0.13% की गिरावट के साथ 24,398.70 पर बंद हुआ है। इंट्रा-डे में सेंसेक्स 379.85 प्वाइंट्स उछलकर 78,664.92 तक पहुंचा था जिससे यह 633.88 प्वाइंट्स टूटकर 78,031.04 तक और निफ्टी 100.55 प्वाइंट्स चढ़कर 24,530.90 तक जाने के बाद टूट गया और 181.95 प्वाइंट्स गिरकर 24,348.95 तक आ गया।
निवेशकों के ₹1.77 लाख करोड़ स्वाहा
एक कारोबारी दिन पहले यानी 06 जुलाई 2026 को बीएसई पर लिस्टेड सभी शेयरों का कुल मार्केट कैप ₹4,81,50,174.783 करोड़ था। आज यानी 07 जुलाई 2026 को यह घटकर ₹4,,79,72,766.93 करोड़ रह गया। इसका मतलब हुआ कि निवेशकों की पूंजी में आज ₹1,77,407.85 करोड़ की गिरावट आई है।
Sensex के 11 स्टॉक्स ग्रीन
सेंसेक्स पर 30 शेयर लिस्टेड हैं जिसमें आज 11 स्टॉक्स ग्रीन जोन में बंद हुए हैं। सबसे अधिक तेजी आज एचसीएलटेक, टेक महिंद्रा और इंफोसिस में रही। वहीं दूसरी तरफ आज सेंसेक्स पर सबसे अधिक गिरावट ट्रेंट और बीईएल में रही। नीचे सेंसेक्स पर लिस्टेड सभी शेयरों के लेटेस्ट भाव और आज उतार-चढ़ाव की डिटेल्स देख सकते हैं-
160 शेयर एक साल के हाई पर
बीएसई पर आज 4397 शेयरों की ट्रेडिंग हुई। इसमें 1595 शेयर आज मजबूत हुए तो 2637 में गिरावट रही जबकि 165 में कोई बदलाव नहीं हुआ। इसके अलावा 160 शेयर एक साल के हाई और 193 शेयर एक साल के निचले स्तर पर आ गए।
