Mercedes-Benz has stated that its ‘Top-end Luxury’ segment, comprising models like the V-Class, Mercedes-Maybach cars, EQS SUV and the AMG range, grew by over 20 percent. These top-end BEV sales were driven by the EQS SUV, which was also the brand’s bestselling EV. In the more affordable ‘luxury entry segment’, however, the CLA Electric drove sales. Notably, the Mercedes-AMG sales surged by 50 percent in H1 2026.

Mercedes also revealed that the waiting period for cars in this segment ranges from 4 months to up to a year for models like the AMG G63 SUV.

CLA Electric, launched in April 2026, drove entry-level luxury segment growth.

The ‘Core’ segment, comprising models like the C-Class, E-Class LWB, GLC and GLE, “significantly contributed to the sales performance in H1 2026 and in Q2 2026.” The manufacturer did not reveal sales numbers for this segment. Mercedes-Benz, however, claimed that “the Long Wheelbase E-Class continues to remain the highest-selling luxury car in India” and that they witnessed “a strong demand for the top-end E 450 variant.”
