Nissan has revealed the claimed fuel-efficiency figures for its new Tekton SUV, which is offered with 1-litre and 1.3-litre turbo-petrol engine options. The 1-litre turbo-petrol paired with a manual gearbox delivers the highest efficiency at 19.4kpl. The Tekton shares its powertrains with the Renault Duster. The entry-level 1.0-litre three-cylinder mill generates 100hp and 166Nm of torque, and comes paired only with a 6-speed manual gearbox as of now. Meanwhile, the 1.3-litre three-cylinder motor develops much higher outputs of 163hp and 280Nm, and can be had with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed dual-clutch automatic. Since the powertrains are shared between the two SUVs, even their claimed fuel-efficiency figures are similar.
