The eighth-gen BMW 3 Series (codename: G50) has arrived, bringing Neue Klasse styling and underpinned by an updated version of BMW’s CLAR platform. On the outside and inside, the new 3 Series looks very similar to its all-electric counterpart, the i3, which was unveiled in March 2026. The real differences are under the skin. BMW has revealed details on the G50 3 Series’s 318, 320, and M350 variants. The first two variants are powered by a 2.0-litre four-cylinder direct-injection turbo-petrol engine with rear-wheel drive, while the range-topping M350 gets a 3.0-litre direct-injection turbo straight-six with all-wheel drive. An 8-speed torque converter automatic gearbox is standard across these three variants.
